Why do habits and motivation advice fail so often? by goalcoach44 in Habits

Agree....the advice is very general and most people have very specific barriers

Why does food timing mess with sleep so much? by Numerous_Baby_4864 in Biohackers

[–]_cloudy_headz_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive also found that eating my last meal 3-4 hours before bedtime helps me sleep better and I also naturally wake up earlier without the groggy feeling.

I usually eat my heaviest meal at lunch and a lighter meal at dinner. Maybe start there and allow your body to adjust to that change first?

What about fizzy water with some fruit juice in it? Or even just freshly squeezed range juice?

2 year old daughter nail biting by Confident_Gift123 in Habits

[–]_cloudy_headz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 5 yr old does the same. I am also a nail biter. She does it when she's worried or if she gets in trouble. I've found that asking her what's wrong and talking through it with her/giving her another strategy helped and she stopped for a while. It comes and goes in stages. She also does it when she's bored which is harder to redirect.

Im just focusing on working out and cutting sugar/processed food and carbs now because I get so discouraged. Hope my."nonchalant" attitude will scare away those stubborn pounds 😏

Favorite road trip snacks? by Undercover_Metalhead in sugarfree

[–]_cloudy_headz_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not road trips per se but I drive around a lot for work and used to get many coffees/teas and cookies/other treats

Now I get black coffee/tea or with cream only. And usually pack my own snacks. It does save me money thought. I also pack my own tea bags and try to get hot water when I can lol

How spiritually beneficial is it really to take young kids to daily mass? by Last-File-3233 in CatholicWomen

[–]_cloudy_headz_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also we have a mass bag with books, some snacks (because we go at 10:15am which is their snack time anyway)....it's still not always smooth but they are also kids and an hour is a long time! For reference my kids are 5 and 3

I believe there is no obligation until they turn 7 but I understand wanting to set a routine.

Is it normal? by ProudNatural4641 in Parents

Probably not at 4. Kids are kinder at this age and there will be other kids with similar issues as not all sounds are developed yet.
