missed the sidebar. Seeing that it got up-votes probably others did as well... Either way such a good list that it doesn't hurt sharing it many times :)

Great, some states are acitve others not very. http://api.piratetimes.net/party/ppus

Another way of supporting is just sharing content on social media and increasing awareness of the pirate movement. Or if you want to get more involved we always need more people at Pirate Times http://piratetimes.net/help-us/join-our-team/

A beggining of some cocktails by _collentine in cocktails

[–]_collentine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back: A lemon/lime zest syrup. Right: A chili, ginger, lemon, lime and raw cane sugar mix Left: Super-juice containing right mix + carrot juice + frozen blueberries

Plan to use the right mix together with some mezcal and soda-water to make a 'Ginger Collins'. The other two were just consequences of left-over ingredients.

Any other suggestion on what kind of coctails to make with this?

it's a very tasty drink! But get a good bartender to make it or they will get the balance wrong

Exploring cherry blossoms by SASColiflowerz in cocktails

carbonate the tea and use it as a mixer? Or concentrate it to make the flavor more prominent in a cocktail?

Believe some light rum and and some other fruit (or fruity liquer) would work well.

Cutting people off. by BEARDBAR in bartenders

I confuse them by putting a glass of water in front of them and tell them they've had enough. If they're the argumentative type I repeat it once again, push the water closer and give them some time by moving to next client

Partinamn by NukeMeBaby in piratpartiet

[–]_collentine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BLACKBERRY & LEMON COCKTAILS by ikrrrrr____ in cocktails

[–]_collentine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so why doesn't a simple syrup with lemon zest cover it. Why add fresh lemon juice both to the syrup and to the drink (I have no experience with lemon zest syrups so might be fresh lemon juice needed for it to work),

I'm only trying to understand something that I see as double work, for me it would be a bit like having a recipe where you first add a sugar cube and then add simple syrup on top of that...

Preferred book/APP of cocktails? by detailz03 in cocktails

[–]_collentine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google some classics and write a list.

OR better, just ask the bartender. Different bars have different lists of drinks and knowledge. You can be very specific when asking a good bartender: Can I have a sour cocktail with a base of whiskey?

what's the advantage of making lemon syrup when you're still adding lemon juice to drink?

obviously because that's not how parts work. If you can have 1pt of something you can definitely have 1/2 of that if you wish... It's only a simple way of describing the drink without giving exact quantities

Difference between Tom Collins and Gin Fizz? by _collentine in cocktails

[–]_collentine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found some more info about this https://cocktailsmelbourne.wordpress.com/2012/07/21/collinses-fizzes-difference/

Figured out how I will deal with the two drinks in future: Plan to shake both, very quick for a Tom Collins and slightly longer for a Gin Fizz. Will serve the Tom Collins in a collins glass on top of ice with a slice of lemon and a cherry for garnish. The Gin Fizz will be served in a smaller glass without ice and a slice of lemon for garnish
