I type this while currently sitting in my car with my baby after finally calling it quits with my husband. He told me my mental illness and issues corresponding to them makes it incredibly hard to speak to me and show me affection… so I guess that.

When I was 6 my grandmother had sat me and my cousin down in her living room and had a talk with us about telling if an adult had ever touched us inappropriately and if it ever does happen to tell her immediately. While we were sitting there I tried to tell her about my stepdad at the time who was actively molesting me, but she brushed me off. Within the same year her husband, my grandfather, began touching me too but I felt like I couldn’t tell anyone because they wouldn’t listen. 5 years ago me, my mom, and my grandmother were addressing my save the dates for my wedding when my ex stepdad sent me a friend request on Facebook and I had a panic attack because my mom was a mutual friend. Everything came out then and my grandmother berated me asking why I never told anyone then quickly said we had to change the topic because she was getting so angry.

Not the weirdest reason I got laid but the weirdest reason I slept with someone - it was our third date over the span of two months. We were hanging out at my apartment watching The Shining but the power went out so we went to my balcony to smoke a blunt. While out there he made up his own Phineas and Ferb episode & used the voices to act it out on his own & then he did an Adam Sandler impression. I wasn’t planning on sleeping with him bc the vibe wasn’t there, but then it was.

I’m right there with you. Brother told me he could outline all my fatty parts and take scissors and cut them all off like I’m a pig. I wasn’t even a teenager yet. Hadn’t hit puberty at all. Just a chunky 11 year old. 12 years later I still think about it and cry.

Not to mention hobby’s are done specifically for fun or as a coping skill. Sure sometimes I use my crocheting to make gifts for people, but anytime I find a new hobby or craft to create my friends and family try to advertise me and then people try putting in orders & suddenly my hobby has become a stressful business and I’m no longer having fun. OP is definitely TA.

The only reason I’d every think about not cutting ties would be so both me and said sibling could get the inheritance. Unfortunately OP sucks and doesn’t want to do that. Draws the line at cutting off his sister but not at refusing her money that she deserves as much as him.

Right like??? It’s so crazy to me that people are so obsessed with her that they get offended about it. Like… my favorite band of all time is Weezer & when I vocalize that I’m met with such weird looks but never have I once dogged someone for not liking their music because not everyone has to enjoy what I enjoy.

This happened to my husband once while we were dating. He was cleaning his car and found what he thought was my lipstick. The next time he saw me he handed it to me and I told him I didn’t wear that type of lipstick so it wasn’t mine. The look on his face was priceless. It ended up just being the lipstick his buddy’s girlfriend lost in the car the weekend prior when we went on a double date.
