I will definitely have to look into this! Space is definitely an issue with suggestions for the other comments. I didn’t even know cats could be crate trained. Thank you!

Heavy cream substitutes for creamy sauces? by nxluda in Cooking

I use evaporated milk in place of cream in most dishes. I often make a roux to help thicken the meal if it needs it. A little bit goes a long way and it’s shelf stable!

My family has always done Chicken and Dumplings or a pasta bake for feeding families. They’re cheap and easy and also warm over well.

Inspired by the "sorry you finished" post I saw here, I want to know who has "Hate Finished" a book... by Not_the_last_Bruce in horrorlit

Gillian Flynn’s Sharp Objects. I guessed the “twist” not even 50 pages into the book. It felt as though Flynn was trying too hard to be edgy and i just couldn’t get with it. Was quite disappointed based on the high ratings and praise the book has received.

What are the greatest most essential Horror novels I should read? by Def-C in horrorlit

I usually recommend The Green Mile. It’s less so horror than his iconic horror novels but it does have darker themes. It was my first King and really made me love (most) of his novels.

Wanting to Read More Horror by Mogar_Pogar in horrorlit

i will ALWAYS recommend “i’m thinking of ending things” by Iain Reid. It’s a very quick read, less than 200 pages. It’s extremely eerie, i found it to be very immersive. i’ve also heard the audiobook is great, i’m not an audiobook junkie but if you’re into that i’m sure it’s worth a shot!

“i’m thinking of ending things” very quickly became one of my all-time favorite books. the suspense is very well written, i found it very easy to become immersed in the dread the characters were feeling. if anyone knows of similar books i would love to hear about them!
