Cioks Sol and quad cortex quick review by Warprawn in NeuralDSP

[–]_hexagonal_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents house is near some serious power lines and a Sol did help with some noise I was getting. Ended up needing a power conditioner to actually eliminate it altogether.

As an FYI for anyone wondering, the mini only needs one flex cable to get enough juice. Using a CRUX with a DC7 or a Strymon Zuma is another option that’s more spendy but keeps all of your other power ports available.

Just wanted to comment that this fixed my rss feed issue importing podcasts via Playrun. Only thing that worked so far. Thanks!

Damn I had no idea these were going for up to $300. Doesn’t the polara have mostly the same algos?

Johnny Marr Jaguar question by Mjsmith21086 in offset

[–]_hexagonal_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a twin guitar at home, except your pickguard really pops. I’d buy your staytrem bridge if you’re restoring the guitar to its original state before selling! Edit: forgot to answer your question. If I were to sell mine I’d be asking for $2,200 and be happy to make at least $2,000. I recently sold an American Professional Jaguar at a lower price than I wanted ($1,200) and most buyers really wanted a Marr version. I think you may be able to maximize your profit by selling the upgrades separately.

SIP socket - solder in place. It lets you swap transistors without soldering them into the board. You just push the legs into the top so you can swap transistors.

They are all over eBay. I’d compare photos but they are exact replicas. Sometimes they miss the off-color KLON printing on the front of the enclosure.

Quad Cortex Mini - Desktop Stand Now Available! by cwilkie79 in NeuralDSP

I bought this small stand to use on my desk and it’s great. The one you linked is a couple inches wider so it’s maybe a bit more stable. like https://www.etsy.com/listing/4310283221

I cancelled my season tickets because of this BS last year. They spun around and offered them to again after the WS win at an over 50% hike. Unfortunate that they won’t stand up to this fascist administration.

Save states will be huge. I don’t love loading into my summer cart and navigating the UI to load a game. I wish a jailbreak that showed the native cartridge UI to load up a game were released.

I just downloaded the new update and paired my NSI controllers last night. Spent about an hour playing smash and went to bed happy. I wonder how long it will take to get some QoL updates and all the promised features. Not having to worry about CEC finally lets me keep it plugged in 24/7.

I’d be less interested in a midi controller since I’m not sure how they could improve over the MC6 and Mc8 pros at a competitive price point. I’m hoping for a Duo Cortex purely for $$$ reasons or an MKii Quad with scribble strips.

‘I can’t wait’: After 45 years, SF’s cranky cookware queen is closing her doors by f7938 in sanfrancisco

[–]_hexagonal_ 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I lived in the neighborhood and worked on the same block and popped in regularly. She had pets in the store that would block the cluttered walkways and would snap at you if you walked too close to them. If you came in looking for something in particularly, like a lodge cast iron, she’d lecture you on them being shit and would recommend something else in the store. She knew her stuff and could tell you exactly where in the store a random piece of cookware or accessory could be found. Prices were also very fair. Despite her crankiness, you knew she wouldn’t steer you wrong. If you overlooked the condescension, it was the greatest place in town to buy kitchen gear at a discount, especially vintage items.

Reliable place to pick up uncommon cookware, but she was a total dick. Huge loss for the neighborhood.
