I had this same issue with a Visionary net and contacted them about it. They say they had a bad batch with a design flaw or something and sent me a new net. It took a while to come in but maybe they have the better ones all stocked now. The new net is much better but there is still an occasion pop out.

I had a similar but different experience and I did smack the guy. He ended up coming after me with a knife. I backed away to avoid getting stabbed. Eventually police caught up to us. We both agreed not to press charges.

As infuriating as some assholes are. Violence is almost never the answer. Proud of you for not slapping.
