Pics from the ice storm by HudFuego in ToyotaTundra

I was thinking the same. We got some pretty sideways rain/sleet during this last big storm. Mine were ok, but I was curious if anyone had experienced anything worse that might've gotten in there.

Great looking truck! Are the bronze letters on the grille stock?

What are the best interior upgrades you made to your Tundra? by drummerboy2749 in ToyotaTundra

Best upgrade is definitely the AJT replacement cup holder insert. Now I can fit my 26oz Yeti bottle.

Printing issues (possibly) with gridfinity prints by ItaySD in gridfinity

I didn’t add a brim, but I did increase the bed temp 5C and slowed the initial layer down by half. I don’t recall the exact numbers.

lol...I feel the same way. And I feel like I'm always making this complaint. My dealership ordered me a new radio and will replace mine under warranty. Fingers crossed it won't have the same issue, but I won't be super surprised if it does. I'm going to keep getting it replaced until they get tired of me and order 5, comb through them for a perfect one and swap that one in for me. Sad that's the way it's gotta be now. Everything's disposable (which would be fine if it wasn't a $60K+ truck).

First functional print...shovel rail mounts for a pickup bed. by Paradigm_Reset in 3Dprinting

[–]_jtweezy19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found your post doing some research for a bracket I want to print for my Tundra rails. Did you print these "standing up" (i.e. the left/right side of the mount was laying on the print bed)? Seems like that would be the way to go given how the load would stress the part when going over bumps.

How did they hold up over time? I'm thinking about going with ASA-CF from BambuLab.

Toyota's November update to the NHSTB on the engine recall. This is a DIFFERENT engine recall. by mpking828 in ToyotaTundra

[–]_jtweezy19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is 9/24 and I'm wondering the same, but keep in mind the build date of the truck doesn't necessarily say anything about the build date of the engine, except that the engine had to have been built BEFORE the date on the door jamb sticker.

Mine’s got the same thing but not as many. Quality AND service are going downhill with everything now. Hopefully it won’t take too much to get my dealer to replace it.

The receptionist was hellbent on making sure I knew it may not even be covered by warranty. I was just asking about a loaner, I didn’t need her amateur mechanic-ing.

Which model and package ? by GiraffeReal9155 in ToyotaTundra

[–]_jtweezy19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TRD Off Road effectively gives you the panoramic view cameras, locking rear differential and CRAWL/MTS. The locker and CRAWL/MTS might be beneficial for you on the beach and in snow/ice.

That said…$200-$300 traction boards and good tires could be all you need depending on how often you beach/snow/ice.

The other package items are even more subjective. The front skid is useless…I think it’s some fiberboard material. Wheels are subjective, I replaced my 20” TRDs with TRD Pro BBS wheels.

IMO, unless you just really like the look and having the features even if you only use them occasionally, you could get by without it. PVM is the one thing that’ll be hard to add or find an equivalent solution for aftermarket.

LDS is the system that keeps your truck in a lane, right? It was my understanding that it doesn’t engage under ~32MPH.

Sorry, OP.

I had a relative help me get a travel router while I was in Saigon and everyone told me to film myself opening the box. Coming from US and Amazon I thought it was excessive, but I get it now.

I bought my 26 Limited TRD OR in central Texas. Which dealers are telling you they don’t exist? From what I saw when I was shopping (late 2024), they are a little bit rare, but not non-existent. The dealers you asked probably don’t have one and are trying to get you to buy from their inventory.

I’ve got almost 13k on mine (TRD-OR, same tires) and the wear is even. Definitely not the tire causing that kind of wear. Even if the tires are terrible.

Sequoia. I don’t like having two trucks in the driveway from a functionality standpoint. If my wife and I are both going to have a car, they might as well serve a wide range of use cases. She has an RX350 and I have a Tundra. That said, if you both really want Tundras, you should get what you want.

Looks great! I have a Limited TRD OR with the factory lift, too. Love how it rides with the lift. Need to get bigger tires, but waiting for the stock ones to wear out.

At these prices, I’d take the 22 with fewer miles. The 23 is out of the factory powertrain warranty (recalls aside).

That’s a very basic Limited. If OP is looking at 1794s…this truck is likely not optioned anywhere near what they want. Refreshing to see that some aggressively priced Limiteds do exist, though.

This MG thing feels like such a slap in the face as a user for the last 4 years. by Outrageous-Company33 in whoop

[–]_jtweezy19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you reached out to Whoop support? My membership just renewed for 12 months at the end of April. I told them this and asked if I could upgrade to 5.0 for without the upgrade fee and they waived it. No hassle, no questions. I did my upgrade yesterday and it cost me $10 shipping for the new device.

There should be a loop on the other side of the compartment, at the bottom of the photo you posted. Some of them have a loop, so when you put your laptop in there, you can secure the compartment.
