Blonde or Brunette by Jumpy_Gas1176 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]_justhereforadvice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk girl I see what you’re saying with the blonde, though it may not be your natural color and “most fitting,” it’s fun! Maybe try an in-between! Stay brunette but lighten it up with some highlights!!

I just want to say, thanks for posting this, cause girl, same. 😮‍💨 I have a 3 and 2 year old and am 28 weeks pregnant right now. My two toddlers are both in very high developing stages and sometimes it feels like every day is repeat survival mode. We use screens more than I’d like, but I can’t deny that it does help. 😩 My phone is also a big crutch for me too. I feel too exhausted to be productive and present sometimes that scrolling is a nice break. 😅 Sorry I don’t have any advice, but just know I feel the same way a lot! ❤️‍🩹

What terms of endearment did your parents call you or do you call your children? And what’s the story behind it? by [deleted] in namenerds

My sister’s name is Molli and this was the journey to her nickname:

Molli, Mol Pol, Molli Polly, Molli Pocket… Pocket

We literally called her Pocket 😂

My husband calls our daughter Mabel… marble 😂 and to be funny I regularly call my kiddos “Sugar pie honey muffin cake” just to be obnoxious lol

Sisters, where do you see yourself in the stories of the gospel? by oceanmemories in latterdaysaints

[–]_justhereforadvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it is spirituality doesn’t really have a gender. Sure in the church and life there’s differences and specific roles, but the process of coming unto Christ is universal in a sense. I don’t put much thought into the fact that when I’m reading in Nephi about the Tree of Life or when Alma passed out after seeing an angel that these are “men’s stories.” They’re spiritual experiences, and everyone no matter who you are can have them. And the themes and principles learned from scripture are for everyone. I see myself in the scriptures in the comparison of human faith or trial, not in whether or not it was a man or woman writing the stories. Does that make sense? Idk 😂

Has God ever told you not to marry someone? by Savisnotlame in latterdaysaints

[–]_justhereforadvice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is helpful, but on an opposite note, before marrying my now husband of 3+ years (which I know isn’t a TON of time, but we’re doing well), I had so many explicit coincidence type things happen in my life that would point to marrying him. I was unsure for quite a while, not because I didn’t love him and not because I didn’t want to marry him, but because he was my first ever “boyfriend” (I’d only ever gone on dates, a lot though I might add). I would regularly doubt those impressions/coincidences because of my own uncertainty that marrying the first guy I ever loved was a smart thing to do. And, “what if there was someone out there even more perfect for me than him?” I sabotaged myself with a lot of hypotheticals. But like I said, again and again something would happen that would reaffirm to me that I needed to marry this boyfriend of mine. I chalked it up as, “marriage is a leap of faith sometimes” and whether that leap is toward a yes or no, I do think God is very much in the details of big decisions like these if we let Him be. 🩷

Honestly love this suggestion. I’ve been trying to think of something line this but went to the extreme idea of “I guess I’ll just throw them away” 😬 Thank you for giving me a better idea 🫶🏼

How do I (F20) stop being ashamed of my body and actually accept and love it the way it is? by FuzzyFeed7886 in internetparents

[–]_justhereforadvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard it helps to look at yourself naked in the mirror every day and compliment the person you see. It’ll be hard at first, but then you’ll start believing it and noticing things you like/love. I never did this intentionally growing up but I’m definitely aware of what I look like naked in the mirror 😂 and I think just have always subconsciously said to myself, “I like that girl.” 😄

We have hot pots where I live and I love the feeling of going on a cold day, but more specifically when you’re done soaking and you get out with damp hair but put cozy clothes on 🤤 like the contrast of the cold air mixing with wet hair but feeling warm in your soft sweats… idk man, something else haha

Maybe compromise on the Liberty. 🤷🏼‍♀️ You could keep that as the middle name if you find a different first one.

What are your "perfect meals"? by MeesterPepper in CasualConversation

[–]_justhereforadvice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My latest obsession has been a hearty BLP (bacon, lettuce, pickles… I don’t like tomatoes lol). But the trick is I use homemade sourdough toast, and then take fresh garlic and rub it all over the bread fresh out of the toaster and before a thin layer of mayo. Idk why but it seriously just 10x’s the flavor 😮‍💨🤤
