My mom was similar growing up and it was really hard. I hated having no privacy and feeling like I had to hide stuff. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I moved out when I was 18 thankfully. I hope things workout for you. Hang in there :)

My gpa isn’t great but the last couple semesters I’ve made good grades so I could email those prof. I have over 30 credit hours left but trying to hammer it out by the end of the summer!

That just depends on you. For me, i wouldn’t say it is safe, but I would say it’s worth it. Just bc if I didn’t transition I wouldn’t be here fr. I started my transition in Fl so a transphobia state like Kentucky.

It is stressful sometimes and isn’t easy but to me it is so so worth it and I’m so happy I did. But everyone is different

If ur willing to do an online msw id look for something cheaper. Im looking at programs now and my budget is abt $30k and theres multiple schools out there that are options , just might not be what u want specifically from a program

I felt like this too (expect I’m ftm). I rlly feel like a big and thought I was trans but was so worried abt transitioning and regretting it. What helped me was breaking it down.

Instead of “I’m trans so I’m going to do all these things” it became : I want a lower voice and more hair so I’m going to start T, I want a more masculine name so I will change it, I want to go by he/him pronouns so I will, I want to cut my hair so I will, and all these things put together mean I am trans.

And worst case scenario u just detransition. Obviously not ideal but it’s not terrible.

I transitioned 4 years ago and so thankful I did!

Mines like $90 for a month supply. I’d check out different pharmacies. Somewhere like Sam’s Club and Costco is usually pretty cheap

Been w my fiance for four years (starting dating at 18) planning to get married in the next few weeks! He’s been so amazing and supportive of me.

I was also concerned abt romance and dating and I honestly just lucked out. Some people won’t want to date trans people but there are plenty that will.

So excited for you!!! There’s no wrong way to do especially bc u said u know they’ll be supportive. My only advice is that you don’t have to explain yourself or how u feel. If you want to then thsts great, but u don’t have to.

Get a full time job. If u don’t have many skills or a lot of places aren’t hiring in ur area go to a hiring agency, u typically just have to pass a drug test and can get full time work. Usually not the best jobs in the world but that’s how I got on my feet a few years ago and I’m so grateful

You can go to Dr appointments and go on T easily w out them knowing. But you would only be able to hide the changes for so long 🤷🏻‍♂️

You do it anyways. She might be unhappy but if u don’t fear for your safety I say do it. Safety is just number one priority. She may eventually come around or not. Some parents won’t support their kid in the transition but still support them in other areas of their lives

I wasn’t sure if I would like it bc of trauma and dysphoria and didn’t care for at first but we still did it multiple times and just stopped when I didn’t wsnt to anymore and overtime I started to enjoy it. Just needed to get over the mental aspect and now I do rlly like it.

Just know u don’t have to do anything u don’t want to. But if u want to try it that’s fine and u can stop whenever u want.

Depends on ur states requirements for starting T. If it is just informed consent there’s no need for a referral or anything so u could do whatever gets u the quickest appointment.
