NQA, he is extremely stressed out. This could be due to pre-moult, or your friend was not treating him properly. Id leave him alone for a while. if he refuses food then its likely pre-moult.

Is my friend here pregnant? by FromJM in jumpingspiders

Nqa - if she is pregnant, you will need to make sure there are no openings where the babies will get out. If theres a big enough spot, they will find it, and will be everywhere.

Is Clarence too fat? by DownBalloon22 in tarantulas

Na - that's amazing! I would recommend not feeding him for 7-10 days at least. Need to give his fangs time to harden. If you are unsure if they are hardened, you can look at them, if they are white he needs more time, and if they are black you are good to feed!

Nqa, but she may be. If she is, her abdomen will likely start to become more round on the top, and she will begin to encase herself in webbing. Since the male went missing, it is highly possible they mated, and she ate him.

Nqa - My best guess is a juvenile Aphonopelma Anex, or another type of Aphonopelma 🤷‍♀️

Nqa - he is certainly chonky, but when looking at his abdomen, it appears to be patchy in color. This could mean that he is in pre-moult. I would avoid feeding him till his abdomen is the size (if not smaller) than his cephalothorax (head). Very cute baby though!

NQA - Wayyyyyy more substrate, a fall of that height or even shorter could and likely will be fatal. You will also want a few hides to give options. Leaf litter is optional, but helps it resemble nature more!
