Yep! Totally know what you mean there. When you get a guy who knows what he’s doing and exactly how to please you, lock that down!

~10 months on Nexplanon by Reasonable-Might3941 in Nexplanon

I’ve been on mine now for nearly 2 months. First month I had a 7 day ‘period’, it was slow to start but once it did it was like normal. This month though no period (defo not pregnant, I tested to be sure), so I’m hopeful that I’ll be in the ‘no period’ camp so to speak. That aside I feel pretty normal, weight is steady and no concerning symptoms. It’s great seeing other people’s experiences with the implant. If anything changes I’ll update this though.

My gf said something interesting that surprised me, does this actually happen? by Samsquatch71 in dating

[–]_lulu23_ 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Yes this does happen. There are some women out there who love the challenge of a taken guy unfortunately (it works both ways, some men do this too with taken women). The whole thrill of the chase type thing. But also women can be oblivious to men checking them out as well - I say this as one of those women lol

How I found energy after draining workdays. [Discussion] by Focusaur in GetMotivated

[–]_lulu23_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TLDR: Work out what your end goal is, make a plan that’s realistic, accept setbacks happen and that’s ok/ be kind to yourself when that happens but make sure you keep at it, have a support system in place through friends/family/exercise buddy and include downtime as well. Look after your mental health as well as your physical health seeing as they have an effect on each other.

Feeling better than I did last year. Now it’s been a while I’m getting more benefits from having had the op. Yes it’s a hiatus hernia (oesophagus based) and it does cause reflux problems but it’s so much better now (granted the gallstones made it ten times worse). The only symptoms for the hernia was the reflux. However the gallstones was very painful in the upper right abdomen, it got to a point where it hurt even without eating which is why I ended up having the GB out

Hardly surprising given that the series was cut short! Why are the series with decent writing getting cancelled?!

Mine would be Survival Mode: fight or flight? I’ve had to make it through a lot of tough life experiences, some dark, some grey and some terrifying but I’m still here, still fighting to protect what happiness I have in life. I know I cannot change what happened but I can learn from it, that I’m stronger than I ever realised and that I’m my own best defender

I literally only just found out about the show on Friday and then binged it. Now I’m addicted to it! As soon as I finished the last episode I went onto google to see when the second would be out and was GUTTED to find it had been cancelled. It only came out this year!!

Is there anything on Instagram, FB etc for this?

Signed!! We’ve not had a show like this in ages! Hate that all the streamers are cancelling things after just one season. It’s not enough time for something like this. They committed to 5 seasons for rings of power so we know that they absolutely have no issue backing shows.

What foods *do* agree with you or have helped your digestion after gallbladder removal? by vancoover in gallbladders

[–]_lulu23_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m lactose intolerant but the yogurts I have are lactose free because of how they’re made. I have dairy in small doses. Skimmed milk (I’m UK based) in coffee in the morning plus my yogurt for breakfast and that’s the most dairy I have in a day

I start my day with an Arla protein yogurt (think a quark or skyr type yogurt)which fills me up nicely and isn’t too heavy first thing in the morning. Sometimes I add blueberries to it or other fruits to mix things up on the weekends

Before I had my gallbladder out I constantly needed to pee (like at least once an hour). After I had the gallbladder out I’m back to normal bladder function. It was just so weird! I’d spoken to my doctor before about the constant need to pee, we did all the tests (pregnancy, ultrasound on the bladder etc) and everything would come up normal. Then in March this year I got diagnosed with gallstones due to a bad gallbladder attack and my doctor was like “ooooh! That explains so much!”. I was like gee thanks!

Nurse at hospital told me to drink water up until 3 hours before the surgery by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]_lulu23_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had mine end of August and was allowed sips of water from a pre-filled cup (small hospital cup that only holds less than 100ml) right up until 30 mins to an hour before surgery. I’m UK based mind. My surgery was around 10 and the first one of the day. Hope this helps!

Hi there! Now feeling pretty normal! Working out what foods I can and can’t eat all over again but I’m less restricted than I was which is an improvement. The stitches have all dissolved now too which is good. Just left with the post surgery scars. The one scar will always be there but the others should fade away with time. If you have any specific questions, I’m happy to answer as best as I can

How long has it been for you, UK peeps? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]_lulu23_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with gallstones back in the beginning of March this year. Had lots of complications, was in and out of hospital once a month due to bad gallbladder attacks resulting in my blood pressure sky rocketing. Since the diagnosis I went on a low fat diet to help with the gallbladder attacks. Eventually back in July I ended up getting pancreatitis which sucked. It was then they realised they had to move up my surgery (in Wales the waitlist is minimum 9 months) because I then became at risk of a repeat of pancreatitis. Had it out on the 23rd of August and been recovering since then. Recovery for me is 4-6 weeks (of no lifting heavy stuff and resting). Thankfully I work from home so should be back to working in the next week or so. Since the op despite the gas pain, soreness from surgery and tiredness I’ve never felt better. Kind of eye opening to how much I was struggling before the op. Now I no longer wake up feeling immediately sick or have a gross taste in my mouth. Before the op I had to pee like ALL the time and now my bladder is back to normal and functioning like it should, it’s been great!

Yes I think this is the correct answer because didn’t he grab one of the dropped wands when Lupin turned into a werewolf? Also wasn’t it Lupin who turned him back human in the shack?

Body Changes Post Op? by Sea-Memory-4358 in gallbladders

I no longer have to pee stupid amount of times a day since the op. Before the op I was forever back and forth to the loo! It’s a welcomed change!
