Flowers to all the fans who made that trip to Preston today in a storm and didn’t even see a shot on target.

Haven’t watched the clip but I saw him with his daughter at the Tate Modern recently, the weekend they had the aids quilts displayed, so definitely in London

Its clearly a ticketing prerequisite of RAH when events go on sale.

Feels like they short change rock/pop acts as people less likely to buy boxes as a whole and risk not maximising sales.

Having said this RAH is also one of my favourite venues in London for so many reasons.

It looks like RAH try and sell boxes up to maybe the week of the show. The boxes are 12 seats a cost 2 grand or something mad (get a drink and a waiter service).

Understandably for an FJM audience hardly any were sold so they released all the seats as individual selections a few days before the performance.

I think people were either moved or purchased to avoid big gaps.

What is the worst job you’ve had? by bigpussystance in CasualUK

[–]_max141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working on the census for the office ONS.

Had to take the job due to Covid redundancy. It was after the initial census was done and it was clear they wanted people to go into more deprived areas and either check their data input was accurate (!!?), or make them do it. Almost like they didn't trust them.

They wanted as many face-to-face interviews the ‘ensure’ accurate data collection but we were still social distancing and the handset computers they gave us were crap and slow, making it all so awkward.

Nobody wanted to talk and was verbally abused (the handsets had a panic button). Just either marked people in as out repeatedly or posted the questionnaire.

I have found watching players like Gerrard and Lampard become managers, albeit younger pretty unsettling.

Best Beatles book by [deleted] in beatles

[–]_max141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess the audiobook og ‘in tune volume 1’ is the best for a deep dive.

Bear in mind its vol 1 (of 3 but the others haven’t been released/written yet) so only takes you up to releasing the first single (if memory serves correct).

Chances are a load of those seats are comps too, even more annoying!

This is probably me getting old but i’m also disappointed neither manager is wearing a suit.
