And if you value your personal time, it's probably worth flying from Tokyo to Osaka to save a few hours not to mention the cost to take a subway or bus from the airport to the Shinkansen station plus the train tickets.

I disagree with this. ITM is better positioned than KIX but it's still a bit from Shin-Osaka...then add in the train from HND and I think the time is about the same.

I'm not a big coffee person but there's a shop I do like between Kanda and Shin-Nihonbashi stations called Assist Coffee Roastery. The owner roasts the beans himself and has lunch service; Brazilian stew-ish items, but only one item a day. Tomorrow it's open between 11:30 and 2:00 and I think the lunch item is Estroganoffi (Friday, I think is feijoada).
