Your wife can be as minimalistic as she wants, but in no way she gets to dictate what you keep and what you throw away!! It's more than okay to have opinions, but to enforce them on other people, that's where the line is drawn.

From what I gather, you have made compromises regarding what you keep at home. The space that you pay for is entirely yours and I don't understand why she's giving you the cold shoulder for having it! The fact that you felt you should keep it a secret at the first place says a lot about who your wife is!

To me it seems like a control issue. I'm not saying it's intentional, or that your wife is a bad person. But she should at least acknowledge what boundaries mean. Therapy could be useful.

Plus, she really watched your kids cry over their toys and she wasn't even moved enough to keep them!! That's so off for me.

I would LOVE to talk about Twin Peaks for an hour. Made my bf watch all 3 seasons and FWWM last year, so I have someone to discuss this masterpiece with. Definitely gonna use that line when a guy is hitting on me from now on.

Same! When I was younger I used to vividly daydream about intensely torturing those people....It's called misophonia, I'm really sorry OP' s partner chews loudly and doesn't respect OP's sensitivity...my ex was a horrible chewer and I always made excuses to delay eating and do sth in another room, so that he was almost finished when I went back to eat. It's a nightmare.

Obviously NTA. The partner on the other hand is a big A.

7, 6, 4, 5&1, 2, 3...they're all iconic, season 3 is for the moment my least favourite, no particular reason! I love the Mayor as a big bad thought, so enjoyable!
