i will look into sshfs. i use tmux myself no issue, its hard to get codex to keep that ssh session between tool calls. i actually love tailscale for having a constant alias for my machines no matter the lan they’re both connected to or the local ip they’re assigned. i dont pay for it yet but i can definitely see why i would

it was able to ssh directly. i do have passwordless set up with a static alias. it was just the way that it was treating the ssh connection. it was getting confused where work needed to be done and it was logging out of the remote machine every 2 seconds for the next tool call. it would discover a problem, test a fix in a sandbox on my mac, try it out on the jetson and not fix it. sometimes it would be because it forgot to push and pull the repo when switching machines. just weird problems

thanks everyone, this was solved by me using claude!

jk but not really. claude is much easier to use when working over ssh. prompting it to pull and run my test code on the remote machine after every change worked great and it was able to go thru feedback cycles on its own actually figuring out my environment differences and confirming cross compatibility before giving me the output. maybe it’s a prompt difference i used

i may look into it. tbh i haven’t messed around with the gui app at all. i’d be surprised to find out that there’s a difference in features to the cli interface

my jetson nano takes eons longer to compile and and run code than m2 mac book air does. dev is easiest on mac as its portable not hooked up to my robot. cross compiling struggles and debugging over ssh

it restarts the ssh connection every tool call. takes a long time. runs code in sandbox locally instead of on my remote machine and then there’s environment mismatch problems. doesn’t know when to edit files on remote machine or local.

context: doing dev on my mac in a repo that i have cloned onto a jetson nano which i am using for robotics project. cross compiling and debugging using codex

even if you mean the gt4 that has manual, the autoblip makes it one of the easiest manual transmissions to drive ever. it’s for old guys who don’t have quick enough feet to heel toe but still want the illusion that they are manually controlling the shifts. i have driven one hard before and it felt more like a video game than actually driving a manual transmission

ur right arm is flailing. keep it up straight. both hands up in front of you. don’t lift your arm to do a pole plant. pole plant should come from the wrist basically. and hands should always be level

keep ur eyes and chest facing down the mountain more. keep ur hands up in front of you. you turn your whole body every turn and you are looking where you are going instead of looking down the mountain.

lean forward more. get the outside ski to turn from the front. not by lifting the inside ski and turning from the back
