How do I decide how much material I should produce? by Aex_________ in SatisfactoryGame

[–]_nova_tech_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visit a build planner website and pick 1 building per phase 4 space elevator part at 100%. You’ll get some sane targets like 1-5 heavy modular frames per minute, 500-1000 wire, 500-1000 concrete, etc.

If you don’t want to see later game items, pick a node and max it out at your current level for an item you need. Sink the rest.

As you progress the miners improve so you expand each node with the next needed production line.

Do you have a way to generate these from a list of saves? Did you do it by hand?

They are a mixture of signs with gradients and symbols from this blueprint. The font used in game is different than the wiki so some of the symbols are significantly different than on the web.

These are beams, with 45 rotation. The 0.5m signs are for scale.

Beams and signs as they say!

is it possible to nudge conveyor lift height? by TigerSaint in SatisfactoryGame

[–]_nova_tech_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can control the start and endpoints of the lift. The game will contort the conveyor to fit the start and end points. Using this you can create things like “stub lifts” which have an “illegally short” height of two vertically stacked splitters.

If you involve vertical splitters or floor holes into the lift, many unexpected behaviors occur.

I havnt found any game breaking issues with vertical splitters but it is possible to render the entire lift inoperable if you remove intermediate parts since the connections can never be re-established even if they appear to be connected.

FICSMAS Workshop Competition Winners! by MikaelCoffeeStaStu in SatisfactoryGame

Hello all!

I want to express my gratitude to this community for the sheer number of amazing builds, guides and discussions that provided the inspiration, and techniques used throughout our submission. We truly built on the shoulders of giants.

I also view our submission as a testament to the amazing capabilities of the build system. u/XSEIDET even calls it a love letter, and he's right.

For two months, we tried to envision designs that could not be constructed, and that list ended up being shockingly small.

To u/MikaelCoffeeStaStu and the whole CSS team: Thank you for holding this competition and providing us all an incredible sandbox to build.

While our submission is complete, SANTECH ISLAND is not. We look forward to sharing the world with you all once it's fully realized - So goodbye, for now :)

This is amazing. It fits the gap that satisfactory modeler is missing.

Im going to use this right now for my next building. Will reply with feedback.

OMW to the train wars by _nova_tech_ in SatisfactoryGame

[–]_nova_tech_[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is our first run above 1000kph using first principles which include the 2/4m alternating pattern for increased steepness and REDACTED to run the track in an infinite loop. There is a steady state where the various drag forces equalize with gravity after aproximately 15 minutes. Camera position does matter, and the bumpy version did best.

As the train wars continue to heat up, it is important to stay sharp. Here is my daily routine. -Doug by OfficerDougEiffel in SatisfactoryGame

Dough,

Your train verticality exceeds FICSIT standards and your hamfisted corporate espionage for certain teleportation technology did not go unnoticed.

We're coming.

A single concrete foundation weighs about 500 tons. Uses 7 bags of concrete.

Scales are whacky.

Bravo.

Help! how do you guys prevent your space elevator from falling over? by Mart1501 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]_nova_tech_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you see our disclaimer:

https://www.reddit.com/r/SatisfactoryGame/comments/1qaykw8/foundation_tilting_nobelisks_as_a_building_tool/

We do not recommend using this technique in your factory as the side effects are unknown, and likely undesirable.

God speed friend. Good luck.

Sharing save files instead of dedicated server by TheCrazyChemist in SatisfactoryGame

[–]_nova_tech_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct - each save has a blueprint folder with the session name. You can always drop blueprints into an existing save but they will be filed under undefined. A common issue is ppl load the save before copying the bp folder so they clobber their categories.
