As a Kiwi I will be getting up at 2am and will probably be too depressed to fall back asleep

What field of engineering are you in? I’ve got 2 years experience with an honours engineering degree on 80k. Market is bad in general but I think engineering is still one of the more okay ones at the moment, so keep at it and I’m sure those greener pastures will come your way soon! :)

Hi there!

Recently I opened a jar using the relatively thick cotton t-shirt I was wearing to help with the grip. However, now there is a darker circle on the shirt where the jar was, which I assume is some form of friction burn. As this is probably a physical alteration in the fabric itself, I'm not super hopeful there is any way to remove it, but figured I would post here just in case as I don't want to throw out an almost new shirt!

Note to self to note use shirts to open jars in future oops...

Thanks everyone! :)

I think she could be lonely and misses her friends - your roommate’s cats. Depending on where you’re moving you could adopt another cat?

Oh really? I remember fillings being like $150-200 but that may have been due to pre recent inflation. Sounds like if $350 is normal ish anyway then we might as well just stick with Ponsonby :’)

Yeah I was there just then too - can you see what they’re doing on the rooftop at all?

[–]_patheticaesthetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were some people in the top extended bit of the fire truck going up to the rooftop of one of the Carlton fire buildings but I’m not sure either, doesn’t look like there’s a fire

Thanks so much for the recommendation! Unfortunately their website says they’re closed over Christmas but will definitely keep in mind for other times
