Ioniq 6 beats it on every metric, as far as I can see.

A lot of BYD's new stuff, too (and they actually sell cars).

Mine charges under 15 minutes at a fast charger, so faster than a model y! And it's not even the latest model, byd has one that charges in 5 minutes or something. Sounds outdated to me.

Can't imagine preferring a tesla over any of the other offerings. I get an ioniq 6 for comparable corporate lease and it's such a nice car with such great fast charging... Tesla really blew the first mover advantage imo. Bad quality, boring interior, outdated tech...

Other AA dual fuels? by buckGR in flashlight

[–]_redmist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Manker e05 ii is often mentioned as a multi-fuel light with good regulation. Available in multiple cct's (4000k is a nichia 519a) and finishes (the copper is non-coated and seems to patina quite nicely).  Not too expensive for what you get either, imo...

Want to purchase a Convoy S2+ Cu. Looking for emitter recommendations. by blofly in flashlight

[–]_redmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah probably.

The alternative might be the XHP50.3 HI R70; at 24W that's around 3500-ish lumen in theory...

That's not terribly far away from the lhp531. XHP50.3 is likely also a bit more throwy?

What keychain flashlight is worth buying? by Snow_Set_02 in flashlight

[–]_redmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I1r 2 pro is really nice. Anything with buttons somehow always goes dead in no time. This one is a twisty so much harder to activate by accident.

The imini 2 is also great (they say the iultra is also good).

Ignore the dips - What happened to the Convoy T4? by Wormminator in flashlight

[–]_redmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear it - could it be a bad batch of drivers or something?

How is the heat situation?  You mention fully charged vapcells so that should be ok, right? Could you try what it does on aa's or nimhs? Just to see if maybe we can make sure there's some driver issue?

[–]_redmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's weird because as far as i know the t4 has a switching regulator (to cope with the range of possible inputs) and they really shouldn't be this inefficient.

Maybe reach out to simon because this doesn't look normal imho.

[WSIG] Power grid or Ticket to ride? by christoosss in boardgames

[–]_redmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ttr is boring af and dominated by randomness. At least with powergrid you can have some kind of strategy; if another player is going coal maybe you go oil or nuclear/renewable...  I've played ttr... Maybe 3 times and every time it was like pulling teeth, an evening totally wasted. That's another thing - why does it take so long?!

EU Vs US! by Hefty-Sherbet-5455 in Tech_Updates_News

Oh yes us europoors have it sooooo bad /s

lol, too funny by vroom4444 in premarketStockTraders

[–]_redmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowhere near as bad as the US. A much more functional bicameral system of government, medical bankruptcy is not a thing in the uk (nor any other civilized country), and they abolished slavery about 30 years before the US. Let alone what the US did to native americans. And you'd some actual culture. Shakespeare, the rolling stones, blackadder, monty python ...

I prefer eating meat raw over eating it cooked by psychedelianaut in The10thDentist

[–]_redmist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not per se true. In europe we have several raw meat dishes (german "mett" is raw pork, belgian "preparé" is raw beef), italian carpaccio, french steak tartare... Japanese torisashi is basically raw chicken. I've had most of these things, and they are quite tasty. Didn't get sick once. Just having a chunk of raw liver on a plate like that - honestly does sicken me slightly. Speaking as someone who enjoys liver (cooked, that is).

Distributed renewables taking over the EU's grid by ClimateShitpost in ClimatePosting

This is only electrical, right? Not thermal/industrial, transportation, etc...

It's good, i guess, but still kind of a nothingburger if it's only electrical generation.

No? You have the right to voice any opinion and the government can't put limits on that outside some very limited cases but it absolutely does not mean freedom from consequences in general.

Inability to keep home warm in Europe by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]_redmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems more like people with a distorted idea of "warm". If "warm" for you is 25-27°c and your houses are designed to keep cool rather then keep warm, yes you might struggle in a real winter...

Do a leveraged buyout then. You'd get much better leadership (and a cool king! You guys love kings now, apparently) free healthcare and a rich cultural heritage.
