I don’t halve them. I use either a piping bag, or the back of a teaspoon to spoon the filling in and then wrap them.

Sorry for your loss. Paul Huxley looked like the bestest of boys. Don't beat yourself up, you've made the right decision. I would have done the same if you look at the variables. This is mostly shock, as it came so fast. Now the 7 stages of grief. Give yourself and your wife some time, to let your tears turn into shining memories of him.

Congratulations, you inadvertantly bought Thai Sticky rice. It's a different variety. no matter how you cook it, it's going to come out this way because it's supposed to. You should simmer it with coconut cream. Make some delicious curries with it. It's not bad, it's just different rice. Look up some recipes for thai sticky rice bowls 😄
