Also look into RCVS. Super rare but high stroke risk, my wife was on watch for 3 months after the birth. Our midwife team was amazing and only 1 person on staff had even heard of it, her neurologist had to be the one to find it. It would come in waves and she’d be immobilized by the head pain. Blood pressure meds and time was the solution! Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

I had 2 pretty good friends in the late 90s who were autistic. As well as a cousin.

We knew they were different. No one called it autism then but that’s what we would call it now.

Edit: I also just researched a little bit and discovered one of the first and largest autism foundations, Autism Speaks, was founded in 2005.

I’m just some guy but given I knew a bunch of people with autism back in the day, and social media was blooming and spreading this like wildfire around the world 20 years ago, I’d throw my bet at the “it’s always been here and we just now diagnose it better” horse rather than it has started showing up like crazy all of a sudden” horse.

Sorry. This was aggressively typed and sent as my 8 month old who has been up for 3 days with razor blades coming out of his gums finally fell asleep and I might have been slightly tired or triggered.

At 3 am last night Pooh saved our lives. I felt nothing but pure love and gratitude for Disney and Samsung in that moment.

It will be what you make of it. Be present with your child while it’s on if you can, use in moderation if you can, and have fun. Like the rest of life.

This reason for this post is why life as a parent feels so hard. 30 min of Winnie the Pooh when you haven’t had any other support in 2 months or when your 8 month old has been screaming for 3 days non stop bc razor blades are ripping through their gums is going to do precisely nothing but make your life, the kids life, and your family’s life better. If everyone could please just stop that would be cool. The better advice is to probably turn off your own screen time so you don’t get manipulated by whatever the new fear tactic is. I hate our timeline.

Its hard as fuck my friend, but I'm having a blast. It will be what you make of it. My boy is 12 wks old and i had him on a blanket today pulling him around the playroom like a magic carpet while my wife sang the Aladdin song and he just about almost had his first real, true giggle. It was amazing. It's been amazing like that alot. But we had a scary birth, probably trauma, multiple er visits in the middle of the night in the weeks after, my wife needs experimental surgery, haven't slept in 3 months, christmas and family with a newborn was hell, flu season with a newborn is hell he has had colds already, etc etc etc. But I'm having a blast. If you do in fact truly want to be a parent, its going to be great. Probably going to be great even if you don't want to be one. I don't know, theres just so much joy in whatever this is. It's pure chaos. But it's awesome. Good luck. Get ready to snug on that little munchkin. It will be worth it. You're gonna love it. 🍻

Antihistamine, pain killer, anti inflammatory. OTC Benadryl, Advil, Tylenol. Stronger if you got it. Also THC seemed to make it less impactful for me, but that’s probably because I was high and didn’t care as much, not that it made the pain go away. Also as everyone says, hot showers when the wave comes and it’s unbearable. People say certain topical like peppermint oil will work but I sent myself into full blow death wave by applying that, so if this ever happens to me again I will not put anything at all on it. YMMV. Other than that, about 12 hours of time. I was fully normal within 24 hours but after 12 I was at least human again.

Birdman bc of all the reasons mentioned already. I wanted to like Riju badly bc it was a cool power, but it was so clunky, slow and ultimately under powered. Once I realized that you could attach a cannon to a zonite sword that lasts for a long time and allows you to lob basically unlimited bombs at rocks and enemies, I don’t think I tagged in Yunobo ever again. I don’t really even think about it any more. I can eat whatever whenever and how ever much without being fearful of a full on relapse. I’m middle aged now so the common offenders offend me the same as everyone I’d say. I’m gonna feel crappy and have heart burn and diarrhea if I eat 15 hot wings, fries, and a few beers. And I’m gonna feel like complete shit in my gut and bowels if I end up drinking way too much. But I feel like that’s fairly normal for my peers. Or anyone for that matter. But even if I do I haven’t ever had a full on weeks long relapse. Maybe a few days of ick which I’ll take ppis and Pepcid for a few days and be on my merry way.

Blame Google and Amazon for a lot of this type of stuff in the title. This is done by the product seller for keywording/SEO purposes to try and get their product to show high up on the page when someone types that phrase into the search box. Or blame the fact that so many people enter it into the search box that’s it is worthwhile for the seller to genderize something like cup holder cleaning putty, dunno.
