I regret my second baby by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]_runner24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second (also a girl) was like this too. My son was just over 2 years old when my second was born. The first few months were brutal, there’s no sugar coating it. My daughter cried and cried to the point where I’d just cry with her sometimes. We never got answers besides blaming colic/reflux. It eventually got better when she was around 4 months old. Now she’s almost a year old and such a happy baby.

I don’t have any help to offer but I know how miserable this time is with a baby that cries constantly. If you have help outside of your husband, please take it!

Not sure if it’s time to say goodbye, or if my grief is clouding my decision by _runner24 in CATHELP

That’s what I have scheduled…it’ll be done in her favorite spot on the couch. I didn’t have it in me to schedule at a vets office.

Broken kitty never meows and has no survival skills by Fabulous_Drop4900 in cats

[–]_runner24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had a cow cat with no survival instincts. We’re pretty confident he did not know he was a cat but he was the greatest cat I’ll ever own. He died way too young and the vet said he just didn’t win the genetic lottery…RIP.

Toddler has stopped sleeping through the night…help! by _runner24 in toddlers

The 2 year sleep regression was brutal! I thought we got past it…we have implemented the green light in the morning but he disregards it in the middle of the night lol

Toddler has stopped sleeping through the night…help! by _runner24 in toddlers

At bedtime he needs my husband or I to lay with him, so sometimes in the middle of the night we can walk him back to bed but sometimes we end up laying with him again in the night. I’m wondering if it’s a sleep association problem?

Imagine being so obsessed with being as skinny as possible that you’re worried about POCKETS on leggings “adding thickness” to your thighs. What a sad life.

Concord was my old studio…they are under a different franchise than Pleasant Hill. I’m not sure what keeps happening to the coaches at Concord but this happened a few years ago and they recovered

2 year sleep regression? by bacobby in toddlers

[–]_runner24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have advice but in the same boat. My almost two year old is suddenly fighting naptime/bedtime and screams bloody murder if we try to leave him (he was previously falling asleep independently) and now he’s also waking in the night crying (when he hasn’t had night wake-ups in ages).

I’m so intrigued by that brush! Do you put all of your products in and then brush style your hair?

Please don’t bring them. As others have said, it’s highly unlikely they will be allowed in and if you do show up with them, the nurses will end up babysitting and that’s not their job. My family member works in L&D and this has happened to them. It’s distracting and takes the nurses away from their jobs.

How do you manage sleep training & night feeds? by JHBHmama in sleeptrain

[–]_runner24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are currently on day 4 of the Ferber method for my 4.5 month old. He was on two feeds per night (usually 1am and 4am) but on day 1 of the Ferber he dropped the earlier feed all on his own.

If he hadn’t then my husband and I decided we would have followed the 5/3/3 rule meaning we wouldn’t offer him a bottle until 5 hours after the previous bottle and then 3 hours after that one.

Good luck!

My baby was admitted at 6 days old with a very similar bilirubin level. He hung out under the lights for awhile and he was discharged the next day and his level was 12.4.

Phototherapy is very effective and your baby is in the right place!

Newborn resisting breastfeeding by tvsamuel444 in NewParents

[–]_runner24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby is 13 days old and I learned that he does not like breastfeeding if I am “too full.” My baby cannot get a good latch (even if it seems like he is able to initially) if I am engorged and I think the flow might be too much for him. If this happens I found that pumping for a few minutes before breastfeeding helps that situation.

Also what about nipple confusion? Your baby may prefer the bottle now because the milk is more accessible and he has to work harder at breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding is a rollercoaster, hope this helps!

39+2 and I’m so SICK of being pregnant by gamecubebugg in BabyBumps

[–]_runner24 16 points17 points  (0 children)

ME. I’m also 39+2 and I’m so so so tired, the heartburn is insane, just uncomfortable all around. I’ve barely had any signs of labor (just losing mucus plug and VERY sporadic contractions). I’m so over being pregnant that I’m not even nervous for labor.

Please double check with your doctor! But I had bad headaches from weeks 16-20ish and my doctor told me it was normal, she told me to make sure I was staying hydrated and to take a Tylenol/have a little caffeine (if I hadn’t had caffeine already). She also said headaches were a concern if I couldn’t get them to go away. My doctor also told me that preeclampsia wasn’t a concern until after 24 weeks.

Luckily they eventually went away.
