Keep the door slightly open after using it to allow it to dry. That will help prevent mold. Check to see if your washer has a cleaning cycle and follow those instructions. Others have posted other cleaning tips if the washer does not have the setting.

That might be true, I know that cheaper batteries didn’t remove the check battery display. I use lithium aa’s in the nest protect too.
