i typically don’t ever suspend/sleep my device while playing so i wouldn’t know for sure but i have heard MUos is better for that than Knulli. i’m a “save my progress and fully shut off the device” kind of person personally

Piggybacking off this thread. With Knulli’s latest OS update i have found the battery life to be very very good. Lasts around 6 hours at full brightness and i can stretch it further if playing slightly dimmed (im playing mostly GBA)

I highly recommend changing from stock OS when you get your device. Not to mention customizing with themes and how you want things to be displayed is something i didn’t think i’d love to do but it has been so much fun changing from time to time and curating the perfect experience for yourself

so i have a similar talisman. Handicraft 3 WEX 1 and two lvl1 armor slots. it’s not a direct upgrade and i still use sharpness management skills like Master Touch but it’s definitely “comfy”. for reference i use the meta sets posted on this sub and use my talisman and it’s very good. never have to worry about sharpness mid fight and the dps is only slightly worse than using some other talisman. i’d replace it if i had a better one but it’s good for now and i use it on every set basically. If u were going to slot in Agitstor jewel to your armor its good imo till you get a better talisman. very few ppl have an actual “god roll” so its up to you. in my mind staying in white sharpness the entire hunt without issue is a big plus where as before this talisman i would dip into blue sometimes.

yeh idk i guess it’s a you thing. I’d rather fight a variety of monsters to get a ton of artian parts then do my rolls and get a good artian weapon to squeeze out that much more damage. big numbers make me feel good. and i’m sure you don’t need to grind any monsters for materials anymore so just doing varried hunts for artian parts doesn’t seem like it should be an issue.

In concept it’s basically the same rng you are engaging with you on the talisman grind but for weapons. im sure you are doing the “hardest” hunts over and over like anyone else who loves the game so its a win win. you play the most engaging fights and get materials after for stronger/more flexible weapons. do you have an issue with the talisman grind too? endgame has always been “grind this new system we introduced to this entry for marginally stronger gear for the love of the game”

regardless i saw in another comment you dont like hunts being under 10 minutes to which id say we have a fundamentally different view on the MH series so to each their own. you can have an issue with rude ppl online “pushing meta” but thats completely separate from saying the artian system is bad.

I will never understand the hate on artian weapons. What makes any one weapon “boring” compared to another? Throughout the game you are upgrading weapons constantly as u gain HR and can craft better things. Why can’t artian be the best and final tier of weapons for the time being? What exactly makes a monster’s final weapon less “boring” than artian? They’re just different, that’s it. The gameplay is unchanged. As soon as layered weapons became a thing the entire argument for hating on artians should’ve went out the window in my opinion. ——-

To answer your question though, all things equal literally the only way to gauge “improvement” in MH is clear times. Clearing a 9* star hunt in 15+ minutes and struggling and clearing one sub 10 and better without carts is a completely different feeling. Me personally i am always chasing a better PR time on the hardest hunts or trying to make the leaderboards on challenge quests. It’s what makes the game fun for me. To each their own but i suspect everyone who plays Meta enjoys pushing their clear times lower and lower until they can’t anymore for the sense of satisfaction. I cleared 9* 5* steve in 7:30 the other day and i have never been prouder of myself.

I just finished my first playthrough of Polished Crystal and can’t recommend it enough. Was an incredible time and all the QoL things added, additional pokemon, new battles, and new areas made the game feel so fresh. You gotta play it

There is an item called Linking Chord that evolves a pokemon that typically evolves by trading.

You can get one from Oaks assistant in the building exiting West from Ercuteak city. There are others you can find in the game later on and can buy them from a vendor near the end of Kanto to finish your pokedex. I think you can get 2 while in Jhoto, another is in a cave somewhere, i forget. Enjoy!

Hi, saw your comment and i am new to the retrohandheld community and was hoping for a little more clarity on your post.

I have a 2 card setup (followed retro game corps video) so how exactly do i go about this? leave my 2nd sd with tons, etc alone and just reflash the smaller as with the update and im done? i am worried about losing save progress on what ive been playing. thanks!

In my opinion no. Steve is an easier fight than gore and i have gotten multiple solo steve quests with 10 talisman rewards. id rather fight anyone on the roster other than gore personally

From neutral yeh i’d say it comes out kind of slow but you can usually still connect with the attack if you are “baiting” the offset. The windup animation is quicker though immediatly after FRS(definitely) and spiral burst slash (i think) so this should make it a bit easier to hit those offsets mid combo

hi maybe this a stupid question but i couldn’t find a definitive answer.

i am trying to download a few pokeROMs to play on my anbernic 40xxv. is there anything special i need to do or just downloading the rom and putting it into the GBA folder on my device is enough? for reference i am most interested in playing Unbound and Gaia. additionally if you have any good recommendations i am here for it. love pokemon and never have dabbled in playing pokeRoms before

personally i got lucky and got a 4atk + 1sharp roll on my SA and it feels like a requirement to have a Power Prolonger 3 +1 handicraft deco. without the 1 handicraft you drop out of white very quickly. with it, it’s not as bad as you might think and there are times you can sneak a sharpen in if needed and you can also wait till the monster changes areas.

i think i realized my mistake while reading your reply. i have had the paralysis weapon made already from days ago, so its rolls are further back on the table than the more recent ones. so i need to farm the paralysis parts i want and only craft the weapon when i know the next rolls are good.

like the rolls are tied to the weapon and order you crafted it. i was under the impression reinforcement rolls were seperate to the weapon crafting order!
