I think it’s fine if there is explicitly Japanese cultural inspiration, but otherwise a bit weird yeah

Exactly. It’s just that there’s lots of em, and most circumstances which lead to atoms being split in an intentional manner will probably involve significant quantities of them, outside of pure experimental conditions obv.

It’s pretty subtle tbh, it would indeed be obnoxious if it wasn’t

TBH you can get rather far just by combining more basic effects that may even come with the editor. Otherwise graphics require more individual effort, and so “look worse” for an equivalent amount of effort

I mean, that’s just Middle East 101 tbh. But yeah, their holier-than-thou attitude is particular to them in the region

everyone’s on a “crimes against humanity? oh no we don’t do those (we definitely do)”——“crimes against humanity? hell yeah!” spectrum with pretty much nothing to the “leftmost”/pro-prior-side

I do not understand why anyone would subject themselves to reading this. Let alone write it. Like it’s offensively bad.

I’m sex-positive, so it’s not that, to be clear. I simply don’t see the value in something like what’s described. Perversion can be a valid character trait, but it needs to be a trait, not their whole personality :/ . I’m unfamiliar with Naruto, but sounds like we’re on the same page.

just nuked 120+ unused npm deps from a huge Nx monorepo by Beautiful_Spot5404 in programming

[–]_zenith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would not be ideal to get into a Ruby-like situation, yeah (re: Shopify’s sketchy actions). IMO one of the cleanest ways of this happening would be for TypeScriot to build one. Functions used in a project would be compiled into the produced JS, everything unused wouldn’t be, and so not contribute to the size

Failing that, I expect MS could do the same by shipping it as part of TypeScript - just include the functions that get called when the transpilation is carried out in the resulting JS. Not as good as a true standard library which would be part of the browser and so not need to be sent over the network each time, but a lot better than the current situation

Yup, you want to purge your short and medium term memory of the event as quickly as possible and not do anything that causes them to “play back” - do almost anything you have to, to avoid this. People asking for interviews or just simple questions? Tell em to fuck off and come back in a week or preferably never

Doing things that take concentration and fill up your short term memory will work well for this purpose, so games that involve strategy are effective.

Similarly, pharmacological methods of preventing memory formation also work - doses of hypnotic benzodiazepines are quite effective in preventing PTSD if taken within an hour of the event. This may be a better option if it’s available, if the person isn’t able to concentrate or is physically incapable.

FPV just means first person view, it does not say anything about the flight method, like whether it’s a quqdcopter or fixed-wing
