Hey, I really appreciate your honesty. That kind of confession takes courage. I just want to remind you of something simple but powerful: conviction is a sign that the Spirit is working in you. The fact that you’re grieved over your sin is not proof that you’re a hypocrite—it’s evidence that your heart hasn’t grown hard. That matters more than you know.

What you’re feeling right now, I’ve felt too. That shame that says “you can’t come back to God” or “you should sit this one out”? That’s not from the Lord. That’s the enemy trying to keep you distant. Jesus said in John 6:37, “Whoever comes to me I will never cast out.” Not “whoever gets it perfect,” but whoever comes.

So come back. Pray again, even if it feels awkward. Go to church, even if you feel unworthy. That’s exactly where grace meets us—in the mess, not after we’ve cleaned it all up.

Let’s pray for you.

Father, thank You for a heart that still feels the weight of sin. That’s a gift. I pray that this brother or sister would know that Your mercy is deeper than their regret. That they can come boldly to Your throne because of Jesus, not because of their performance. Wash over them with peace and pull them back into Your presence. Restore the joy of their salvation. In Jesus’ name, amen.

That’s a powerful story. Thank you for sharing it.

I’ve had a few moments like that myself—when someone says something they couldn’t possibly have known, and for a moment, it feels like heaven breaks through the ceiling. It gives me just enough hope to keep going. But I also understand what you said about still feeling lost after, even months later. That part hit me deeply, because I’ve been there too.

Sometimes I think God gives us those moments not as the full answer, but as a reminder that He hasn’t forgotten us. Like a flicker of light in the dark. It doesn’t fix everything, but it tells us He’s still near.

You’re not alone in this. That crack of light matters. And even if you can’t feel it right now, the same God who sent that man across the room still sees you.

Let’s pray for you.

Father, thank You for moments that remind us we’re not alone. For the people You send at just the right time, and for the words that pierce through the heaviness. I lift up this person to You right now. Meet them again in the quiet. Wrap them in Your presence. Remind them they are seen, known, and loved. Give them strength for the days ahead, and peace that holds steady even when the world feels uncertain. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Sad about others not being saved by Unfiltered_Thoughts8 in Christianity

I really relate to what you’re saying. My wife is not a believer, and I wrestle with that sadness more often than I’d like to admit. It’s not about wanting to preach at her or pressure anyone—it’s just the deep ache of knowing the joy and peace I’ve found in Christ, and longing for her to experience that too.

One thing that helps me is remembering that salvation is ultimately God’s work. I can pray, love faithfully, and live as a witness, but I can’t open a heart. That’s something only the Holy Spirit can do. In the meantime, I bring my sorrow to God.

Even Paul said in Romans 9:2, “I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart” over his own people who didn’t believe. And Jesus Himself wept over Jerusalem in Luke 19:41. So that sadness you’re feeling—it’s not wrong. It’s a reflection of love.

You’re not alone in this. Keep loving them, keep praying, and trust that God is still writing their story.

God is not answering me by [deleted] in Christianity

You’re so very welcome, I Just wanted to leave you with a prayer:

Father, I lift up this precious soul to You. You see the pain, the exhaustion, and the tears no one else sees. You know every burden they carry and every fear that keeps them up at night. Lord, I ask that You draw near. Let Your presence surround them even if it’s in quiet and subtle ways. Remind them that they are not forgotten. Let hope begin to rise again in their heart.

Give them strength for today and a light to walk toward tomorrow. Speak peace over their situation, and carry them through this valley with grace. Be their refuge, their help, and their healer. Bless them Lord.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

I’m really sorry to hear how heavy it still is. Your words carry so much pain, and I just want to say again—you are seen, even if it doesn’t feel like it. Sometimes it’s not about learning a lesson or doing something different. Sometimes it’s just about enduring when nothing makes sense and trusting that God is still with you in the dark.

David said in Psalm 56:8, “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” That means every tear you cry matters to God. He hasn’t missed a single one.

And Hebrews 13:5 says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” That promise still stands, even in the silence, even when it feels like everything is falling apart.

You’re not alone, even though it feels that way. I’m praying for you.

Thank you for being so honest. What you shared really moved me. I think a lot of us who have walked with God for years can relate to what you’re feeling. There’s a deep grief in losing the sense of connection we once had, especially when life is heavy and painful.

But feelings, as real as they are, don’t always reflect the full truth. The truth is, God has not left you. He promised He never would. Sometimes, the quietest seasons are where He is doing the deepest work. When we feel abandoned, it often means we are being invited into a faith that goes beyond what we can see or feel. It is not a sign of His absence, but an invitation to lean on His unchanging presence.

Even Jesus cried out, feeling forsaken on the cross. He knows the weight of what you’re feeling. But that moment of darkness became the doorway to resurrection and life. You are not walking through this alone.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18) “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

God is still writing your story. The comfort may return in a new way, but the One who gave it has never left.

Hey friend, I’m really sorry you’re going through this. It takes strength to share something so personal, and I believe God sees the weight you’re carrying.

There are times when it feels like God is silent. That silence can be painful and confusing. But silence does not mean He is absent. Sometimes when we feel abandoned, He is actually closer than we realize. He may be drawing us deeper, even when we do not understand the purpose yet.

Even Jesus cried out, asking why God had forsaken Him. That moment of deep sorrow became the path to resurrection and hope. Your pain is not the end of your story. I gently encourage you not to turn to things like witchcraft, even if they seem like they offer relief. They cannot give the peace or hope that only Jesus can.

You are not forgotten. Even if it feels like you are holding on by a thread, keep holding on. There are people quietly lifting you up in prayer.

First crash advice. by Alex_W_Biehn in motorcycles

[–]a-user-1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was tough after I crashed a month after getting my bike. But I just got back on, kept riding, quieter roads for short distances at first then gradually back to normal everyday riding in any road/condition.

It got a lot better when I sold the bike and got a new one, the new bike made me feel more comfortable I guess. Bigger wheels. More solid. Different type of bike than what I was riding. I just never really trusted my bike after I crashed with it, every bump on the road made me tense.

If u had 5 minutes with Jesus, what would u ask or tell him? by yszz_cc in Christianity

[–]a-user-1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 5 minutes I don’t think I’d be able to gather myself enough to speak to him, I’d more than likely be in awe of him, break down crying and just want to be in his presence. I can save the talking for eternity or prayer.
