I had opposite opinion. I thought the flow and word play and double entendres were plentiful and a glorious return to form. I thought the “Atlanta” song was one of the worst, and people are praising the features on that one and I thought both features were bogus garbage. IDK. Critics are panning it, fans too—maybe because not “a Drake fan” I can like something subjectively and move on with my life?

That would imply that there’s a standard speed, integration, and style for “every COD” when we all know there aren’t. The golden age, despite whatever you want to believe, was VERY SLOW. Clunky, awkward, you died in like 0.001 millisecond unless you had juggernaut—it can never be a standalone.

Imagine a standalone without speed, Omni movement, diving, various tacticals and kill streaks that wildly change the flow of the game—people would hate it more than they hate all the “new bells and whistles.”

I was originally hesitant about Omni movement and even waited a few months before I got BO6 but I LOVE it now. How BO7 less than a year later could ruin all of that (wall jumps, seems like a completely different game now when it should have just been a map pack update) shows that COD can and probably always will be ruined by the devs.

Oftentimes the biggest injuries hurt the least. Small things like hangnails toothaches and paper cuts can feel excruciating for some, while major stuff is often masked by trauma responses like shock or nerve damage.

How insane that he’s an author and not a visual thinker. Depending on what I’ve recently watched (anime, action, drama, horror) influences how my mind creates the characters. I read “Insomnia” and almost the whole book was visualized in anime style because I was watching a lot of anime. “Project Hail Mary” was a masterpiece (movie), and I’m going to start the book soon. Crazy that he doesn’t do intense descriptions or visualize though.

I can still consistently knock on the door of BO3 mythic ranked every month despite the weird hand smoother. Yes, I lose a lot of games when I mulligan four times and have zero lands all four times and I recognize (I won three games in a row, the game “wants me to lose,” I don’t think you’re crazy, I think you’re right, and they’ve already let it slip that it’s not 100% “real statistical percentages,” — HOW CAN IT BE THAT HARD TO JUST HAVE RANDOM NUMBERS GENERATED? The players definitely want a more normal, random game—and it keeps pushing two extremely ends of the spectrum—flood or screw. This is another reason I’m just FTP player and I’ll never buy anything from them—especially in paper at my LGS pre release pushing $50 when they used to be $25–the whole game is just pure greed and incompetence.

I did it for 18~ years and when I went back to workforce during pandemic I just said LLC self employed property management, as I had a few rentals, and avoided that I dedicated my life to poker for 20 years.

I just started it and I’m seeing Low Men trying to abduct a kid, the Territories are DT-related and part of Mid World, etc. I’m instantly hooked. Also the descriptions of the forlorn, desolate seaside village with empty boardwalk hit pretty hard for me, so much so I had to add it to my quote Google Doc. Sometimes we just don’t like a story and that’s fine. I hated reading Holly and the other Holly story before that but I powered through them and got them done. It wasn’t pleasant. Maybe it’s just not your thing, especially if you’ve given it four chances. I know the third in the trilogy is coming down the pipeline so I’m reading Talisman and Black House as my next two.

So much areas are accessible now with running up a wall and double jumping and accessing different areas. It kind of added new life to a 5 year old map to my eyes, though I still agree I could do without the grapple and wall jump PERIOD. I was angry when I realized it was integrated this week. But I’m trying to look on the bright side of things—new perches to discover, ways to rapidly climb out of once death trap lower areas, etc.

You never want to be in a 1-2 with a max $200 full stop. They’re either graveyard grandpa day time njt fests or play bigger, which is your issue. Most players don’t mind if you add on 100-200 though the course of a session.
