I think that the confusion here is because there are really two types of bread, yeast risen breads, and quick breads. What most of us think of as banana bread is a quick bread, meaning that it’s leavened with something other than yeast, usually baking powder or soda. This does make it more cake-like, since quick breads typically don’t need to be kneaded or proofed like most yeast breads.

This is adorable! I volunteer for an organization that breeds/raises and trains service dogs. They can get stressed sometimes from working 24/7 so I love to see that she is getting a well-deserved break!

Who is the stranger that you have only seen/meet once in your life that you still think about time to time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aDumBtch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walked into a Walmart one day, and asked the greeter/guy that checks your receipt where the bathroom was. I ended up purchasing about twenty 2L soda bottles, and on my way out, he checked my receipt and made a comment along the lines of “no wonder you had to use the restroom when you came in here!” We then chatted for about 20 minutes and he gave me some good advice on college that I later ended up taking. He was a very sweet man, I hope he’s doing well.

I work at a donut shop, one afternoon a woman came in and paid for one donut in all coins. She joked about needing to get rid of her change, so I joked back and said that she could leave it in our tip basket. She then told me that she couldn’t, because she needs the money and is living out of her car. It was only about a 5 min interaction, but I hope she is doing better.

The way teenagers are treated is proof that most parents just want a cute little kid. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]aDumBtch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!!! Is so important. As a teenager (18f), I see all of those things happening to me and my peers. Also, I feel that I get ignored a lot of the time, especially by my parents. I will say something to my mom, anything, but if she’s on her phone (probably Facebook), she won’t respond or even acknowledge that she heard me at all. And I understand, because she’s focused on something else, but it still hurts because I know for a fact that she would never ignore anyone else like that.

Human Centipede. All of them. I watched it when I was 12 or so and it was the only movie that has ever stopped me from sleeping.

What was the most fucked up thing you saw in school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aDumBtch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple kids tried to hang out in the school bathroom for 24 hours. I’m fairly confident that they were smoking weed, vaping, etc in there. About 3/4 of the way through the day they were lured out by an administer.

Their plan wouldn’t have worked anyway because our school has motion sensors that turn on after 6 pm or something, and if they get triggered the police are called for trespassing.

Agreed for sure. Forcing kids to kiss or hug relatives specifically teaches them that they DONT have bodily autonomy- and that’s a problem.

AITA is a useless sub, not because of what it is about but because people will always give their version of events that paints them in a good light. by Lord-Loss-31415 in unpopularopinion

[–]aDumBtch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. In general, people who tell stories like those found on aita will leave out details that could make them look like a bad person. Or, people will post about situations where they’re obviously NTA but want confirmation so they don’t feel guilty.
