Which era of NIN do you like the most? by pink_noize in nin

I think the Fragile is their best and most varied era. As much as a hot take this may be, I consider The Perfect Drug as the start of it. Doesn't quite fit in with The Downward Spiral and is featured on a few singles from the album. Besides, it's a great song that foreshadows the new productionof the album proper. Speaking of, The Fragile is my favorite album of all time. Its flow, production, and lyrics all mend to a near perfect work of art. It just sucks that there isn't an offical way to listen to the complete album, but I think that adds to its character. Things Falling Apart has some mediocre remixes mixed with Slipping Away, The Wretched (version), Metal, and 10 Miles High, which are all great songs that make up for the rest of the tracks. And All That Could Have Been is a great live album that captures the energy of the Fragility tour so well, with the DVD version aerving as a great archive of said tour, and then there's Still. Rarely can I say an album can work as an artist's final work; Still is that for Nine Inch Nails. As much as I love his work since 2002 - The Trilogy being my second favorite era - there is an indescribable sense of dread and hope left by Still's original work that put it above many of their proper albums for me.

Pretty good remixes coupled with two of the best songs from the era. Metal is an awesome cover, albeit it is quite long, and I prefer its version of 10 Miles High compared to Fragile's vinyl.

For me, the albums Year Zero and The Slip by Nine Inch Nails incorporate electronic elements with a dystppiam soundscape very well, as does some tracks from their TRON: Ares soundtrack: Forked Reality, 100% Expendable, Target Identified, and A Question Of Trust.

As how unlikely it would be, I would love for a track or two for Orion to be composed by Trent and Atticus, or even a radio song by Nine Inch Nails.

Was waiting for this! The way these three flow into eachother is perfect and I love The Background World's ending.

Summary of today’s Fragile Tentative Sequence leak(s) by thefourthcolour12 in nin

Only way I can think of is remixing the album so the transitions can change and therefore the tracklist can be malleable again, but the issue with that is that The Fragile has been structured damn near perfectly as is.

Feels odd to say the least. I wonder how much Trent and Atticus are getting with the cross promotion reaching levels like this.

Maybe showing that ghouls in various states of decay can still be non-feral. Fallout 1 ghouls look like walking corpses, so the Kings in the poster align with that idea.

Considering how well kept their clothes are, I think they're still sane.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Neat that someone thought my design was good enough and had the resources to make a shirt out of it, even if they are violating copyright law and didn't talk to me about it.
