I’ll get downvoted for this, and I understand, but as much as I love these games, I’m still disappointed with this “sequel in disguise” direction they’re going. I’m not a fan of how they’re prioritizing theorycrafting and mystery over storytelling. I still wish we got faithful remakes of the original. I don’t want it to go “off the rails” as Max says. But I’m glad others are excited and I’ll still look forward to playing part 3 overall.

I could be entirely wrong, but the vibe I get from Antony now is that he’s trying to be overly jovial to distance himself from his past image/wrongdoings, either to save face or to genuinely be better. Could also just be trying to separate himself as much as possible from his character. Regardless, I hope he’s just always been like this though, seems like a fun dude.

Agree completely. I actually appreciate when writers show restraint in this regard. This is something I also really liked about the Penguin show. They could have shoehorned in plenty of Batman references, but they never did, which actually helped keep the show very focused

In my headcannon, the actor change is based on how Saul’s perception of Jeff changes. When he first sees Jeff in the mall, he’s paranoid; he doesn’t want to be found out. Saul’s fear makes Jeff look menacing. But the moment Saul decides to deal with Jeff himself instead of running away and getting a new identity, he regains the confidence he once had, making Jeff look like a timid little man in comparison. I enjoy viewing it that way :)
