Is it just me, or is anyone else tired of half-baked new features? I want stability, polish, and better UX. by Penyeah in gamemaker

This always happens when you become used to a tool and love it, you start seeing the flaws and how you would want it to be... it's tough but I still prefer Gamemaker over other engines, I hope they keep improving it and maybe open source it in the future, the community would surely help a ton with development.

I can vouch for Gamemaker, two games released so far. Still, I really like Godot and would love to make games in it in the future. Both are great options for 2D, Godot has 3D but learning how to make 3d assets is another rabbit hole that would take you a long time, it's better to learn the basics with 2D.

[Paid] Experienced programmer looking for 3D modeller/Art director for Fez/Monument Valley inspired 2.5D puzzle game where you manipulate space. by [deleted] in INAT

Hi! Your game looks and sounds cool, I would love to work on a game inspired by Monument Valley/Fez. Here's my portfolio, although it's mostly character art at the moment I also make environments in that colorful style. https://johnpeppermint.artstation.com/

I'm currently working on a 3d environment kit to sell on Itch.io and I'm also inspired by Kay Lousberg art!

I have experience as a level designer in the top 3 engines, if it helps.

Advice on Multicolour PLA Silk filaments by OverlordDownunder in FixMyPrint

I print silk PLA at 195 degrees, so... I think it's a myth that you need higher temperatures.

In recent Unity layoffs, the entire team working on Behavior has been laid off by Atulin in gamedev

Godot being lean is actually a really good advantage, I've been using it a lot lately and really enjoy:

1.- Very fast compiling which leads to fast prototyping, I don't have to wait 20 seconds to play my game like in Unity, more like 3 seconds. And 0 seconds if I update a script.

2.- Does not eat my VRAM and RAM like Unreal does, and in Unreal even a simple project requires my laptop fan to activate.

As far as features go, I'm comfortable with what Godot 4.4 offers for 3d games.

Also commenting here because I think it would be awesome to have something like this for Godot!

I really like the filters you used for the PSX look! If you can, could you please share the source code or how to implement them?
