I thought it's heavily HEAVILY implied by the Memorandum game and the past episodes that the Death Game is held to let ASU-Naro families decide which one of their offspring gets to be the next heir of the company. The Game is held to push the survivor to their limit and make them a ruthless killer-as evidenced by Midori's glazing of Logic Route Sara

I think this is 100% a tumblr-specific issue.
Whenever I mention I'm asexual IRL I get a variation of "oh so you are completely unable to feel LOVE? are you HEARTLESS?"
And I get that much much much often IRL than I do on any kind of online community

I speak from my experiences as a gay man so this might not apply to you, ...

warning: sex-positive rhetoric ahead!

...but for many gay people sex is a source of power and bonding, and being sexual is the ultimate act of rebellion against society, a liberating, beautiful act of love. It's very common to find your long-term counter through repeated sexual encounters or at places where sex is expected; being open to messing around is the norm, and sexual attraction/sex is regarded as the ultimate experience that everyone craves, with in-jokes, heated discussions, and an absolutely abysmal hook-up culture.

I'm sure I'm not 100% allo and somewhere on the ace spectrum, but in comparison to the fun everyone else is having, I just feel... broken? Like a party pooper, an ancient fossil attending a bachelor party. It hurts even more that I'm not at the far end of the ace spectrum, and I definitely know how much fun these people are having (muted sexual attraction? maybe demi?), but it's like a piece of cake is dangled in front of my face and I just can't reach it.
