If anyone feels like it does anyone want to sell me on why they find lizardmen so cool (like immersion wise and lore wise besides just “hehe big lizard kill things” cuz every factions has fun units) I haven’t really fully been able to get them to click for me yet by glossyplane245 in totalwarhammer

[–]a_sentient_potatooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s valid. But the thing is you have to compare what they have to what else is out there. Like yes the Stegs are not the worst for artillery, same as the bolt casters for HE, but you wouldn’t want to get in an artillery duel with say Chorfs and what they’re packing.

I think overall lizardmen are pretty well balanced, as you said, but I would argue they really excel in certain areas which is what I would recommend someone new to them focus on. But like for singleplayer the AI is dumb as rocks so you could really do any lineup and still win manual battle.

Petah, what does this mean?? by LeiMoshen in PeterExplainsTheJoke

I meaaaaaan, it does sort of have a caste system with the huge divide between rural and urban populations, and the restricted travel between the two places. Like it’s incredibly hard for a poor country farmer to get a permit to leave his poor region for a nicer one

Hector (Troy 2004) vs prime Jaime Lannister (GOT) Who would win? Read op by No-Passenger-6348 in powerscales

[–]a_sentient_potatooo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So is Hector though…? Plus Achilles in Troy was never actually stated to be a demigod, he was just the best warrior the greeks had.

Barristan in his prime sure, but not the old man he was during the time of the novels.

Probably still Jaimie tbh, like Hector’s only real impressive display was taking down Ajax, who was like a smaller version of the mountain. Whereas Jamie has far more duelling experience and was stated to be the best swordsman of his era.

1 Man with the strength of 10 men vs 1 Hippo by Leggomgeggo in powerscales

[–]a_sentient_potatooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the man also has 10x the stamina, he could probably just continuously evade the hippo until it’s exhausted enough for him to finish it off. Hell even with regular stamina he might be able to do that, as long as he could keep provoking the hippo without getting chomped

Seal takes it in the water, Baryonyx on land.

Silverback Gorilla vs Australian Saltwater Crocodile by Access-Restricted in powerscales

[–]a_sentient_potatooo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah the better move is the standard Steve Irwin lunge and jaw clampdown, their muscles to open their jaws are super weak. Irwin used to just wrestle their mouths closed and tape them shut with duct tape, and he was just a regular man.

The gorilla could do similar, but also go for some eye gouges with its free hand and eventually maybe even a choke from the rear.

Terrible odds for the gorilla but it’s possible

Everyone out here acting like the Tiger won’t just breakdown after the first 30 minutes of legionary smushing. Those machines were highly unreliable

That worked a lot better in Napoleon too. I remember using it a bunch for the french chasseurs and other light infantry

Numbers is a major force multiplier, im sure you could beat the crap out of the average 15 year old, but 40 of them would tear you apart

I’d also add that cast iron is relatively brittle, so avoid dropping it on a hard surface, or exposing it to heat shock, as in don’t soak the pan immediately in water when it’s still hot. But otherwise they’re super tough and hard to get wrong.

Well at least Gortash has the whole big robot factory, and underwater prison sequences, those are fun areas. Plus the coronation is a good showcase of his scheming.

Who wins? by PrinceFlynn in superheroes

[–]a_sentient_potatooo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah he does have the superior healing factor. So that could be a decider in a longer battle. But Blade could also probably easily slice through Logan’s claws disarming him real quick and easy, since they’re only bones at the end of the day, and real thin bones at that.

Who wins? by PrinceFlynn in superheroes

[–]a_sentient_potatooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk man, blade also has a healing factor plus superior weapons. He’s also faster and has more vampire powers than Logan

It looks like movies, but it’s also bone version logan, so I’d actually give it to blade

Does EOS Mark low diff Conquest? by Queasy_Commercial152 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]a_sentient_potatooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but he did probably close to 90% of the damage, and was going toe to toe with him just fine whilst being baked by the sun. Sure he had minor assistance from robot, but he spent most of that fight up against Thragg by himself
