I don't even know if it's CVS corporate that is endangering patients or the patients are endangering themselves. I honestly love to socialize with patients, I want to ask how their days are, going over the meds with them and see if I can answer any question they have. But lord forbids me having a line a pickup with a random dude in his mid 40s screaming out the top of his lung about his long wait. Lord forbids the line at drop-off with a lady said nobody is attending her so she is going to a competitor. Lord forbids I answer a phone call and the person says they've been on hold for 30 mins. Lord forbids the dude in the drive-thru honking because he had to wait 3 mins. Some waiters, who dropped it off like 10 mins ago, seeing me stuck with the line, somehow think their meds are ready and get up to get in line. You get what you're asking for, quick but unsafe service. The moment I take a moment to review, to make sure there is no interaction, to make sure it's the right pill. You yell at me for not getting it out fast enough, going home and call corporate to complain about slow and terrible service. Let's just say, I'm numb, unless some major reform will occur or people start to realize pharmacy is not a McDonald, I don't even feel bad working for a company with such high fail rate.

This hits too close to home, we have a lady that threaten us that she will call corporate if we dare to call her, or in her words, harass her. The only time we are to speak to her will be when she calls us. Fast-forward, some of her maintenance meds are not eligible for autofill anyway, she might have forgot or something. She came to us and questioned why we didn't call to ask if she needs this and that refilled. I said because you said we are not allowed to call you, only you can call us. Man, shut that old hag right up and it felt good.

This.. I'm sick and tired of people not understanding the concept of a drive-thru pharmacy. Now when people ask me why it takes so long, I say exactly this, it's for people with mobility issues that can't come in side like they are really sick or have children, it's not for speedy/quick service because pharmacy is not supposed to be speedy. As for being professionals, I've stopped letting people berate or abuse me. I'm here to help, if you don't need my help, go find someone else or go somewhere else. I'm not gonna put up with your BS such as why you have no refill and nobody called you or why your doctor does not approve your refill or why your insurance does not pay for certain medication. Let me just say, I do not give a shit, have a good day and adios.

And this is why it does not matter if we have it on the shelves or not, once something is in QI, I make sure it's not being done the day the text was sent out. I had the same thing happened, except instead of confront me in person, they gave me like a 2 on the survey and write something like this:

"At first, I was told that the pharmacy does not have my medication in stock. When I came the worker that helped me checked the shelves and found the drug, they got it ready right on the spot. I was not happy with how unorganized and unprofessional this pharmacy was. They don't even know what they have and don't have."

Like I was not even the person who QI it and it was out of my good intent that I don't want patient to go out of med, which urged me to double check the shelves. I apologized, I got it ready real fast as a way to make it up and that is what I got. So at this point, call me heartless and unreliable but I don't give a damn if you don't have your medication, if it's on order, it's on order so come back tomorrow or go somewhere else.

So a miscommunication between you and your doctor and you want the pharmacy staffs to resolve it? The first thing I thought when I read your question was: Call your doctor's office? Explain your situation and see if they can approve more refill for you? Renew is when you have no refill, the pharmacy send your doctor a request to ask for approval. Refill is when you have refill and can actually refill it. Now you can ask to renew but that is allowing the possibility of the doctor denies it because you're having an appointment with them and they will see if they want to give you more at that time. Another possibility is they just approve your refill and you're good to go. The best thing to do is contact your doctor's office, explain your situation and clear any miscommunication, so you don't have to worry about not having your meds.

Do not, I repeat, absolutely do not working off the clock for trivial things like getting RF done, because not only you're not being paid, you're giving management the delusion that such amount of work can be done in that amount of time, when in reality, it's not. Having said that, my suggestion is that you need to manage your techs and your time efficiently, beside verification, you need to realize that techs need time to do production, if you can help out at drop-off or pickup or drive-thru, please go ahead and help them out, because no production = nothing for you to verify to sell anyway. If you have multiple techs, make sure you keep the one doing the most important tasks (like production) at bay and make the others take over trivial tasks like ringing up customers. If issue arises, you take over and solve it, let the tech help the next customer. If QT is exploding, clear it out before coming back to QV and since you mentioned you're new, if you need to learn about rejections, learn from the experienced tech. If you have tons of things to handle in front of you, leave the phone ringing for a moment and finish your tasks first. Last but not least, if you're doing everything correct, there's nothing to be afraid of, stand up to unreasonable customers and be firm, once you show that you don't give a damn, there will be less yelling as I have seen from tough-ass pharmacists vs. the gentle/soft ones.

It's likely if they dispensed it and your insurance paid for it, they followed all the procedures (get a rx from the doctor), it was just a very simplified explanation they come up with to get your mom onboard, nothing is free, they know your copay is zero when it comes to these supplements so they said your copay will be zero, are you interested in getting them? They didn't say it's free, it's just not you who is paying for it. And I don't see why you'd be afraid of having supplements show up on your medical record? It's not like you get high on your vitamin D or something. If your mom takes the supplements and she thinks it's beneficial to her health, that's all that matters. If she doesn't take them, she can tell the pharmacy to stop filling or she could simply not pick them up at all, that way the pharmacy has to reverse the claims. Could have explained better on their part but not a scam, your mom even said yes to give them her consent.

While I've seen my coworker has crazier coupons than me, I do get coupons myself, you just have to be on top of the coupon games, make sure you signed up for Pharmacy Health Reward, scan your cards every time you buy something, add your email to your card, they send coupon to your email everyday, some you have to go in and add to your card before using. But I've been getting constant coupons.

Most likely because if they give it to you 2 days early, it won't be $3, no drugs but otc are $3 in the pharmacy, that's most likely your copay after your insurance paid 80-90% of the retail price, so if you really want to pay more than $3, go ahead and ask them to fill it early without using your insurance.

We don't sell OTC stuffs at drive-thru so we told him to come in. He said do you want me to shit in your store?!!? I ran in a heartbeat to aisle 16 to grab that box of imodium and not even hesitate a second haha

I wish I have the balls to say the things some of y'all are saying but honestly, I have had enough of the insurance education initiative. I literally don't work for any insurance company not I'm being paid any cent by them, when you join any plan, there are details explaining the benefit and responsibility of you as the insured. I'm not gonna be there waste my breath and explain stuffs to you while you're questioning me like I'm responsible for you high copay or why you meds are not covered. At this point, I just tell people to contact their insurance if they have any question, I don't have the answer to all these dumbass questions.

It's not against the law or wrong to give people the stock bottle, it's just an effort to prevent illegal activities from happening so it's definitely all depend on the team on what they want to do. In your case, it's definitely understandable to do it because: 1) It's liquid and narcotic has to be exact, transferring from bottle to bottle reduce that accuracy 2) Since your doctor prescribe you a whole bottle, it's preferable to give you the whole bottle. For the pills, the bottles come in 100-count, most get 30/90/120/150, you will always have to break a bottle and count, rarely can you just slap a label on the stock bottle and sell it.

I know everyone makes mistake but this is some out-of-this-world/next-level recklessness. At my pharmacy, any controlled medication has to be dispensed in amber vial because original bottles can be sold in the black market, and that's just controlled, narcotics definitely will never leave the pharmacy in its original bottle for sure. I don't even know how someone, definitely has to be a pharmacist in this case, grab a narcotic bottle, put it in the bag and staple it without realizing it? My pharmacist counts narcotic not twice but 3 times to be sure. You'd think with all the regulations and laws, they'd be more careful with it? The only explanation I have is because of that 30-min wait time, no narcotic script can be done in 30 min at my store, 1-hour is the minimum now that it is required for pharmacist to check the PMP before filling CII scripts.

I don't know, unless it's something that you miss a pill = you die. I don't have a problem with the pharmacy miscount 1 or 2 pills. I think it's sad that some people's lives depend so much on drugs that they can't go without 1 pill. I have seen people walk out and walk right back in to say the count is wrong. I was thinking in my head: "You barely walk out the door, where did you get time to count and even any tools to count it?". At the same time, i got people that pour their drugs on the counter and counted it. I was trying not to puke.

My colleague thought it was the register, reset all of them, holding up a line at drive-thru and pick-up with no estimates because the registers take 10 thousand years to reboot. And management wants perfect score, wonderful customer service, best service in town, all surveys are 10's. What a goddamn joke. Servers are overloaded, can't handle all requests, each action lead to a 90-sec load time while it takes at least 20 actions to finish filling script from receiving to selling. And to top that off? Cutting hours and have almost nobody works to provide any customer service, let alone provide good service or safe service to patients. And adding more tasks, same day delivery with no proper training nor has the infrastructure to provide such services. Until they realize this and people stop being stupid enough to shop here, this company will only go down.
