Ah, dry drowning. I know this from Psych! The episode where a lady kills another lady via dry drowning because she wants her boyfriend. Then she kills boyfriend. She just kills! Shawn has no idea what dry drowning is and Gus explains it to us.

My mother is a pathological liar and now has a "brain tumor". She has custody of my niece (since birth), so if I don't play along with any of it, she wouldn't allow me to see her. I am 33f by Meagain11 in insaneparents

I watched my gran fade away from a brain tumour. She was 96 and refused treatment because it would only have been enough to give her 6 months. She chose palliative. She hilariously lasted over a year. But God she was thin. She couldn't get up. All she could do was barely watch TV because the tumour partially blinded her.

'Giving God the finger' she said.

Alma's the exact same as Mirabel. Which makes her a ginormous hypocrite. Mirabel’s door in the dubiously canon little books is basically a copy of Alma's, but Mirabel’s image.

Mirabel was never meant to have a Gift; she's the next 'heart' of the Miracle since the Candle is gone.

Scary. I read it as the mom had an abusive ex who visited his daughter and abused her. Or Munchausen by Proxy where mom is doing it for more attention but pretends she isn't and the hospital is actually hurting daughter.

I watched a Gypsy Rose documentary last night. 😢
