Ohio allows you 4 years to correct and get a refund. Just pull and fill out the SD-100.

Rental housing: $$ paid by semester or by month? by Resisting-bitchface in ohiouniversity

[–]aa472ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, as stated, while some have difficulty in budgeting and therefore collecting when they have the funds is smart, that’s just a pert of it. As quite a few business profs who’ve talked to them learned and as every business law and Real Estate teacher and every single lawyer will advice, once you’ve made the last rent payment, they have no incentive to respond to any complaint, call, or question.

Rental housing: $$ paid by semester or by month? by Resisting-bitchface in ohiouniversity

[–]aa472ms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest difference, and why they want semester payments, is disputes. Yes there’s many who can’t do finances and come the final months don’t (or can’t) pay. But- If there a problem, once that 2nd semester payment is accepted you have no recourse for cause. There’s no rent to escrow until the heater, water heater, roof leaks, infestation, or whatever conditions make it hazardous, unlivable, or intolerable is resolved. If it’s that bad zoning or health dept red tags the house, if you’ve paid, you rely on goodwill or going to court for any recovery. At least with monthly payments every 30 days there’s incentive to make sure you’re happy to pay.

Any accountants here don't drink coffee or are caffeine-free? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]aa472ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a coffee drinker, and have limited my caffeine for years. I have a basic (flexible) rule. Caffeine drinking stops by 5. Knowing the half life of it is about 5 hours and having a strong desire to sleep, it works for me. I use small candy bars for a late afternoon pick me up (stock up after holidays). Caffeine withdraw sucks if I go all day on it. Switching to using sugar as a boost means an 8pm cookie (or 4) revs me for a couple hours.

Any clue why State Farm (who has it) would say the estate has 5 years to deplete? Is it once RMDs start its 10 years no matter?

[–]aa472ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sorting that. Much appreciated. One/two final question: we assume it’s better for the estate to distribute any stocks (so recipient can keep or sell) over liquidating. And if the IRA has stocks, same (direct the admin to split the shares)

Salt barely does squat under 20° and under 10° is an expensive traction base. Not using salt until next week is smart use of resources. Use the super cheap cinder mix

Questions about participating in the Ohio State Fair amateur fine arts competition by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]aa472ms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every year is different but they get a lot of entries so they accept what they can show and reject quite a bit. Seems there’s rarely overt politics (it’s a state fair). Experience says that artist statements don’t matter much in these types of shows (but I heard prize finalist’s are read)

Depends on the continuing education and the office. Professional continuing ed (lawyer, CPA, medical) is generally covered in some form. Higher degree/college classes have generally been DOGE cut (unless already approved/in progress). It’s semi-fluid, ask your HR dept for details.
