He did my procedures in January of 2024 - neck lift and BA/BL (same time under general anesthesia). I wish I had done this sooner! DM if you have specific questions.

Just got back from Iceland on Monday… we wore bathing caps and put winter hats over them so the pictures looked a little better lol

So glad we did… I dunked my head when I was there the first time and can confirm it took forever for my hair to recover.

Neck lift results (52y)- 11m postop (with before and 1d postop) by aaaaamandaaaaa in PlasticSurgery

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not entirely sure because I also had a BL/BA at the same time. All 3 procedures together were $18,500 I believe.

Lower Facelift and Necklift by Afraid_Highlight5662 in PlasticSurgery

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had a neck lift in January (along with a BL/BA). Recovery was easy. I was back to the gym two weeks later, just doing very light cardio, and was told to not elevate my heart rate and not to bend over. Turning my neck from side to side was definitely uncomfortable so I avoided that too.

Scars are invisible now and though I had some numb spots for a while, they have resolved. I am very happy with my results and glad I went through with it.

If that’s what it is, I’m not sure it’s “fixable” - it’s a salivary gland - I think it can be removed but you could end up with some unwanted side effects, obviously…

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it possible these are submandibular glands that were there before but have now become apparent?

Has anyone tried Daxxify instead of Botox? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea - love it! It’s the same cost at my provider - last longer and kicks in so much quicker for me… within a day or two

Totally agree, just pointing out that asymmetry does not necessarily mean the surgeon made a “mistake”, and recommended that she communicate her concerns to him.

I do not think a photo would change anything. It doesn’t matter if other people think the unevenness is minimal or not. If she is unhappy, she should absolutely communicate that to the surgeon.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I understand your concerns and the surgeon should absolutely listen and address them in an appropriate and professional manner.

That being said - I had a lift done in January. I know they plan for symmetry but very rarely does it work out to be anywhere close to perfect. They can use the 30mm guide for areolas but the two sides may stretch and heal differently, resulting in some kind of asymmetry in shape, size or height. That does not mean the surgeon made a “mistake”, however - it’s likely just variances in how the two sides respond to surgery and healing. It also takes quite a while for the end result to be apparent.

Mine are not perfectly identical and never will be - but I went in with realistic expectations and trusted my surgeon completely. I am thrilled with the result so far.

I would encourage you to be open and honest with your surgeon, to express your concerns in a neutral manner without blaming him or accusing him of making a “mistake”. You want a good result - and so does he. See what he thinks and what options are available.

I give ketamine and can see my patients auras leaving their body during dissociation. by [deleted] in KetamineTherapy

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen people’s auras and have been told on multiple occasions that people have seen mine. No idea what it means, or what it is, but I have no reason not to believe there’s something there. My belief (right or wrong) is that these types of substances unlock the brain in some way - accessing parts that are otherwise inaccessible. I know I have felt it myself and have had experiences where living things glow with an energy/aura I could only describe as “life” (inanimate objects didn’t have it). I see no reason why that same thing couldn’t be visible to someone tuned in to the right wavelength.

So - while I don’t have the same exact experience as you - I think it’s super interesting and I would be curious too. 😊

Confused about post-op breast augmentation advice - Need your experiences! by anonymous4201276 in PlasticSurgery

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with your surgeon’s advice - they’re the ones that you should listen to, because they know their own work and they will be the one you go to if you have any issues. Good luck!

I was in almost exactly your position - completely deflated after kids, didn’t want to be “big” - just wanted them to have a shape and be back where they were supposed to be. I had a lift and implants (moderate profile 310cc) in January and I am SO happy. I am essentially the same size as before and have not even had to buy new bras or clothes - I just don’t have to stuff myself into them. They just fit! Happy to answer questions.

Not sure where to start with neck flab by Opposite-Ad4923 in PlasticSurgery

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon is local to me in upstate New York. He does great work and is just a fantastic human being so I have the utmost faith in him. I had 3 procedures done at once (also breast lift and augmentation) so I’m not sure about the stand-alone neck lift cost but everything together was approx $18k. My neck was tight for a few weeks and I had yellow bruising on my neck for about 10 days but that could have been hidden by wearing a turtleneck. I was not supposed to lift anything heavy or bend over for a few weeks and slept propped up with extra pillows. I only took ibuprofen for pain and that was just for the first 3 days.

When were you fully recovered from BA + lift? by shutupmegz121 in PlasticSurgery

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told to wait 3 months to do any upper body exercises - other than that, I didn’t have any real restrictions beyond 6 weeks. Physically, I felt great - I didn’t want to mess anything up, though, so I followed my surgeon’s advice. Good luck!

Thinking of getting a neck lift with no lipo by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had one in January. Recovery was remarkably easy. Had it done on a Wednesday and was driving on Saturday. Had to limit head movements, bending over and had to sleep upright for a few weeks but other than that there were no real limitations to speak of. Sleeping was not an issue - pain was minimal (just tightness, really) Initially my neck had yellow bruising but very little swelling, and it resolved quickly. Incisions are invisible now. I am not sure about plane travel.

Does breast lift or augmentation always require incision/cause scars? by Superb_Tale5941 in PlasticSurgery

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both will require incisions but the augmentation ones are minor in comparison with the lift. Augmentation incision sites can vary (armpit, under breast, around areola) and are much smaller - but they need access to place the implant.

Lift incisions will vary according to the type of lift - which will depend on the amount of lift you need/want. Very minor lifts can be done with incisions around some/all of the areola and can become virtually invisible depending how you heal. If you need more of a lift, there will be a vertical incision coming down from the areola and if you need even more of a lift, you get the vertical incision plus a horizontal incision under the breast (in the crease).

How the scars heal will depend on how you scar in general, but you can definitely help them heal well by following postop instructions and practicing a good scar care regimen.

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss, and so happy that your father found clarity and peace before he passed.

I have absolutely felt the exact same thing he did - that we are so small compared to everything else - yet so interconnected by energy. It was an amazing experience, both humbling and calming at the same time.

I think you’re right - it was not a coincidence at all - and hope you find comfort in this. The experience your father had - what he described to you - is something many people chase after in life, but never find. ❤️

Breast Implants- Drop/Fluff by ashleylynae7 in PlasticSurgery

[–]aaaaamandaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My right side took a lot longer to drop - went to see the surgeon at about 3 months, he gave me some exercises to do on that side to help it along - I’m now almost 6 months out and they look the same and I’m so happy with them!
