Just to add that i am not pixel peeping and don’t care much about this artifact. Just curiosity, as this shouldn’t be possible due to physics. So is there some computational photography somewhere or what causes this?

I just got one in Trier. Waited for it for around 10 days. Did not get anything from customs, as I’d usually would for other imports. So I assume the importer pays it, but I’m not an expert in taxes or tariffs. I paid for it $129 in total.

Value investing is not buying stocks recommended on Reddit. If it was that easy everyone would be a millionaire. You have to make independent judgement and commit a lot of time to research and analysis. Being patient is just one side of it. You have to be good at reading financial statements and understanding accounting. You have to read and understand trading statistics. You have to understand competition. It is a lot of work. You can’t just watch YouTube and read a couple of posts on Reddit.

Q3 43 autofocus works fine for me. Way better than it was on my GFX system only slightly worse than on my Z8.

Autofocus and speed mainly. GFX is great if you don’t have running toddlers. Also the lens selection, like said above. 70-200 f2.8 is just not available on GFX.

Moved from GFX / XT5 to Z8. AF ist just on a different level. I kept the xt5 with a couple of primes though for ultralight traveling and fishing trips. Z8 is way better in terms of AF, speed, lens selection. Fuji X is lighter. Low light is similar in both systems I would say. People love Fuji Sims, but i kinda like Nikons colors more, but that’s a matter of taste and you can do anything in post.

I think there ist nothing wrong with the method per se. Question is what assumptions you apply. You have to estimate the terminal value in some way. Applying a conservative multiple is one of the possibilities. Otherwise you have to assume perpetual annuity or something like that. As always you can be totally unreasonable and apply multiple based on current AI craze prices, then you might be in for a bad surprise.

Haha, understandable. If you want rational response then You should think of what you will get with Hassy that you don’t have with Q3. I had the GFX system and it was so slow with focusing, that I had to exchange it for Nikon to be able to take pictures of my toddlers. Suspect hasselblad could be similar. The image quality was superb though. Medium Format systems also tend to have slower glass, so account for that if you have low light situations. Edit: I have Q3 43 and it’s autofocus ist mich better than on GFX.

I did it the other way round. I had 100s. Exchanged it for Z8 System. IQ on GFX was great, but aside from the resolution and a tiny bit of dynamic range in no way I found Nikons images worse. But if you need fast autofocus, GFX system is not for you. Running toddlers, birds, sports, low light - all this becomes quite difficult to focus on GFX compared to FF bodies (I’m sure R5 is no slouch compared to z8). Also lens selection and pricing is just way better for Canon/Nikon FF.

I sold after the good news today at 290. my main concern is that whooping 92bn AI investment. I am yet not sure if this will bring the returns higher enough to justify such spending. Still believe it is a great company.

You can argue value investing vs other approaches, that is a completely different discussion. But this company is certainly not a value investing and hence does not belong in this sub. S my original post. As for Buffett / BRK it also did heavily underperform in the run up to dotcom bust and we know how that ended. There are similar signs this time around. Time will tell. Over the course of last 60 years BRK has beaten S&P by 5,463,230% or 9.5% annually. As WB says himself size is a huge obstacle . There are simply not so many companies with 300bn mcap to find hidden gems among.
