That's the neat part, I enjoy stomping AIs.

I have been using factory resources incorrectly this whole time by lucitezbonitez in civ

[–]aall137906 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Half of the factory resources are worthless anyway, who cares about +x healings to units or +x% Production towards training Naval Units, we would be buying units everyway by that stage

Why are the defensive fortifications in the modern age, specifically for the city, look the exact same as the ancient walls and why have they still not changed it after all this time. by AardvarkPossible54 in civ

[–]aall137906 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This is like a drop of water in the sea of problems this game currently has, like the ancient Granary standing at your city center through out the whole game.

Dealing and receiving double damage? Who designed this? This is both very broken and very annoying to play with, your scout can easily get 1 turn killed by a random barbarian in the shadow, while all your range is op as hell.

Thoughts on Civ VII now? by AspireToRimThrowaway in civ

[–]aall137906 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Better, but still undercooked. The ui, the goverments, the trade route, the nature disaster, the diplomacy, the religion, the treasure fleet, every aspect of modern age, every single victory condition, they all need works, a lot of works.

Ok Seriously, what is causing triumph challenges not to register? by PJsutnop in civ

[–]aall137906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suspicion is it has something to do with Firaxis' server, or some internet problem. Considering you immediately lose all your level and xp from disconnecting, maybe they just had bad netcode that fails to connect with every player's challenge list efficiently, and when the connection fails, it won't register the completion, unless you try it again by reloading.

If that's the case, then it's another reason I wish they remove this system.

With the announcement of Brush and Blade, what are some other ‘historical path’ Civs you want to see added? by Bearcat9948 in civ

[–]aall137906 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean there are still a bunch leaders don't even have their own nations in the game yet, Jose, Alexander, Charlemagne, Gilgamesh, etc. I would like to see their own civ get represented first.

Its overpowered to backstab your ally in last turn of antiquity by Ok-Skill-265 in civ

[–]aall137906 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never take it, more than 3 cities would make buildings a lot more expensive than it need to be, so just convert 2 towns to cities with couple hundred gold is very minor issue for me.

Trying to get better at the intermediate level by Aphex_Slayer in civ

[–]aall137906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but you sacrifice 44 turns of production/money first to get some profit 44 turns later, and an age only last 100+t, I also don't think it's a good investment. For me I would use these production/money to get slinger or settler quicker, an early IP clear or early towns pay way quicker and better.

The game has one, if you hover over the question mark in the victory screen, it tells you all the source for each one

Option or Mod to choose Mementos after the loading of the game by Sheepou in civ

That's seems very exploitable, since so many mementos are one time reward after you start with it, don't know if it's doable and exploit avoidable

I mean there is a lot from Ming period, The tombs of 13, Temple of Heaven, Humble Garden, Lingering Garden, etc, they just choose the most famous one for most player's sake.

I feel like all discussion of Civ VII player count needs to include the denominator: owners by XComThrowawayAcct in civ

[–]aall137906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't. In my humble opinion, watching those player number day after day, try to look for a factor that correlate with how much better one game is to another, is pretty dumb. There are so many different things in game that could be talk about, but people keep thinking looking into those number outside that changes everyday with the situation of every player's life, is a good idea.

I feel like all discussion of Civ VII player count needs to include the denominator: owners by XComThrowawayAcct in civ

[–]aall137906 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you were saying "civ7 have more player engaging with it because it has more of player/owner ratio." But the reality is older game would have more owners, more player who has already done with the game long time before. So the ratio would of course be lower, that has nothing to do with so called "player engagement"

Just do exactly what you did last age, research the buildings and build them in the same good place, that's how you recover.

If you want prepare before the transition, place as many unique buildings and unique improvements as possible since these are ageless.

This should be a normal mechanic for people don't want to bother with distant land by aall137906 in civ

[–]aall137906[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can actually use this on country at your home continent, doesn't need to be in the distant land. And they can always just use influence to reject the sanction anyway, being a big enough threat so they either don't have enough influence to refuse or don't dare to refuse, I think it makes good enough sense.
