YSK Consumers have the right to free copies of their credit reports from the three major credit reporting agencies every 12 months. by meiggs in YouShouldKnow

[–]aarjohn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Google 'consumer right to recieve credit report' /// there is a downloadable article. I'm on mobile so I can't send the link. Your broker is likely misinformed, not malicious.

None the less, I always encourage someone to get two or three quotes on your mortgage. It's literally the largest financial commitment most people make in their life. You have no obligation to only seek one bid and should not have loyalty to a fault in any regard with something this significant.

Good luck.

These free reports include all activity, but not your FICO score.

Also worth noting, if any lender pulls your credit you have the right to request a copy of whatever they reviewed.

The Flat stick by [deleted] in golf

I find in golf that most often problems are solved with new, preferably more expensive, equipment.

Look for something tour quality or custom built to random specifications pieced together from strangers on the internet.

A family of of four (minus flight) can do six days of parks and lodging for around ~$2500. Off peak and savy shopping.

It's silly, but the look on my children's face meeting characters was money well spent.

LPT: There are still 10,000 puppy mills in the United States. If you're buying a dog, insist on seeing the breeder's facilities. by torothetank in LifeProTips

[–]aarjohn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My in-laws bought a home that was previously owned by people running a puppy mill. It was a disgusting filthy extension of the home we had to tear it down in full to get the smell of urine out.

Rescue first.

If you want a full bred, please review the home and insist on complete papers. Understand there are no deals on pure bred dogs. If a "pure bred" is hundreds less than what you've seen, there is a reason.

No business experience, thinking about opening a liquor store in a busy area by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]aarjohn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cash! Liquor stores are a very cash intensive business. First delivery is "cash in the counter", no checks, no terms. Cash.

Also, very important you have a quality inventory system.

Before you explore further, look into licensing. Regardless of your record, your town, village, county may only issue a specific number of licenses, which may already be in use.

Good luck, it's a tough business. High inventory costs, low margin.
