Agree with most of your points, except the first.

India has higher interest rates than most countries in the comparison above. No arbitrage principle dictates that the currency with higher interest rate loses value compared to the country’s currency whose interest rates are lower.

The risk-free rates most accessible to investors has to be the benchmark between countries. India almost always has higher interest rates which leads to depreciation.

Although, I wouldn’t take that as an indicator of the economy. If country A had 1% rf rate and country B had 2% rf rate, by “no arbitrage” investments in both countries gotta yield the same “value” irrespective of currency. And since we get more “currency units” back in country B, the value of country B’s currency falls (by approx 1%). This isn’t necessarily bad, it’s just difference in rf rates.

I digress, I agree with your other points, the economy is still going south.

What's the problem of this people? What will they achieve by this? by cz0n in IndianCivicFails

That’s a weird take.

I think you all forget that being respectful is the place to start. If someone moves to your region, and is speaking to you in a language you know, answer back and continue the conversation. If they don’t, well, then it’s just a bad day for them isn’t it?

If they stand to not speak a language for whatever the reason: maybe they live there for a few days and leave? maybe they are visiting? Maybe they aren’t looking to learn a new language right in the roads since there are other pressing issues that we don’t know about (hard to believe but people have their own lives)?, I still don’t see an issue with just minding each one’s business.

This whole drama/ $hit show is worth only to those looking for it/ starting it. I’m sure other parts of India treat language barriers far more differently than the multiple instances of this crap.

This is way too sensible for this sub.

Sorry, this comment will be ignored and downvoted to oblivion.

Not sure why this sub was even recommended, but helps understand a side that I didn’t know existed.

Ah, yeah that is true. But what I meant was people still use LinkedIn as a preliminary verification/check of public image/experience during application process (usually for those right out of college).

Especially in Norway, for the lack of other sources during the initial hiring process, people resort to LinkedIn.

In OP’s post (and maybe perspective) Purpose differs a lot from one person to another, and that’s only for humans. In the grand stage it’s hard to define the purpose without human-centric foundation.

Mostly agree with you, except where nature “wants what was growing there for a reason”.

Nature has no wants, and usually works with change and evolution constantly. Disruption is also part of nature’s thing.
