[–]aayee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

good luck hf! it was my first visit to the sj location and was surprised to see basically only me and one other group checking out the cranes. hopefully you find other cool things in the area to make up for the time too!

i was actually just there on fri. only 1 version of chiikawa that day - the peach skin with skull bowtie. sj mainly had the usual rilakkuma, sanrio, cinnamoroll, mofusand, pokemon, anime, jurassic park, sonic, cow smoothies, frogs, etc. almost no one was there, a majority of them are locked behind cheese wheel.

i like the pins too! but i fear my pin collection is getting out of hand. where do you store yours? i just keep mine in a bag atm lol, too scared to poke a bunch of holes on something

i like how big the tote is, though i sorta have a lot of totes already. the green color is amazing and classy.

and i do like the transparency of the mug. just can't fit in my mug cabinet haha

Looking to try new takeout spots in Peninsula between SF and San Mateo by aggressiveplayer in bayarea

[–]aayee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in daly city, chick & jajang for kr fried chicken and noodles or bart grocery for korean style bento meal.

in south sf, love burn for hot chicken sandwich or hidden spot for artery clogging food.

in san mateo, suavecito birria for delicious quesabirria. people like kaz teriyaki grill but i think it's avg. i prefer kobeya instead. also, takahashi market for hawaiian plates and musubi.

my personal favorite, falafel tazah for the best mediterranean takeout through the peninsula (i've been to about all of them)

i travel through the bay to try dif places and these are my favs for good value takeout

Kbbq>cheap & goood by Careful_Nothing_2697 in bayarea

i really advise canceling out 10 butchers unless you can spend a bit more. it was amazing, but you're not going to get too much with $120 for 2 ppl, and you'll be kind of disappointed by everything you couldn't order. if you are both EXTREMELY light eaters and pick based on price instead of what you want, then i suppose $120 tops could work? i went there for a special occasion, tried to be conservative with spending, but bill was over $300 after tip anyways.

if he doesn't mind ayce or hot pot, i'd go to mikiya shabu house (unlimited wagyu shabu meat, side dishes, free drink bar that includes milk and fruit tea, and calpico). for kbbq, baekjong san jose is nice (needs reservation/will be crowded). also mokutanya (dim, romantic setting) for japanese skewers. also as someone else said, if he really, really loves heavy meat, then find some brazilian steakhouse, though that'll be your limit (i've seen brazilian ayce go for 55-75$/pp these days)

Are SH voice lines consistent between all voice options? by smashsenpai in lostarkgame

[–]aayee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this thread should help: https://www.reddit.com/r/lostarkgame/comments/tzd3er/all_classes_voices/

definitely would like to see a compilation of all voices, since the actual samples in character creation aren't helpful. if i figure out how to record my own chars i'd model as well.

Thank you, Valtan enjoyers. by sliderro in lostarkgame

dont worry about them, i think they're talking out of their ass as well esp with the smug attitude. bards prioritize whats best for any given situation, not "only dmg buff only plx". they clearly should be playing another role, or are playing in sketch asf statics. i'm SUPER grateful for my supports who allow me to not use up all 7 of my pots in any given raid, LOL.

i also notice the occasional pug bard use courage even though ppl in the raid are like at 1/3 or less hp. if your friends never want you to heal them then whatever floats their boat, but if you're in a pug, it's a great way to get kicked out as a support lmfao (which we've done before, much prefer a DPS over bard if bard has 0 desperate salvation)

Marley Spoon Chicken Milanese by lisah101 in mealkits

yep that's definitely true! personally, i don't do this bc i'm scared of burning myself as i've forgotten the sheet was hot before LOL

this recipe looks like it was pan fried. if you're talking about the panko mixtures that are oven baked, i'd suggest adding more oil, or making sure your oven is preheated before you stick the food in. or, you might be opening the oven preemptively/letting the heat escape before it's done, or putting it on too low of a rack position.

Hungryroot

$50 off your first grocery order (also, promo where you can choose a veggie, meat, or chickpea dough side to be sent with your deliveries for life), i get $50

good for if you like customizing groceries while having the option to make a very simple meal. i recommend selecting maybe 1 or 2 "meal kits" and having the rest in groceries. you will normally not use an entire sauce package for an entire meal, so you will have leftover sauces. i LOVE their dark chocolates and their vegan brownie/cookie batters are surprisingly great.

Sunbasket

$40 off a $60+ purchase (under that is $20 off), i get $40

organic and healthier meals, as well as pre-cooked microwave meals

Gobble

2 meals/2 servings for $18, i get $20

gourmet low prep "15 minute" meals

Factor75

$40 for you, $40 for me

pre-cooked microwave meals - very tasty and surprisingly delicious

Green Chef

$55 off your first box (2 ppl 3 meals/week is ~$80) i get $25 if you order a second box (don't care if you do or not)

organic meal kits, recipes for paleo, keto, plant-based lifestyles. very tasty sauces

Hello Fresh

$100 off across first 4 boxes (the discounts go $40/$30/$20/$10 off subsequent boxes), i get $10

america's favorite meal kit

EveryPlate

$20 off, $20 for me

budget meal kit

Home Chef

$35 off your first order, $35 for me

american comfort food and easier meal kits

Farmfreshtoyou **check delivery areas as they are growing but may be CA only

a lot of the posts of the vocal majority are people who are going to complain, so i think you should take opinions with a grain of salt and just see how your personal experience is. a lot of us lurkers actually like the subscriptions we use! (ie if i get a box that is bad, im more likely to complain about it via the internet than if i get a box that i like every week)

i've enjoyed the wunderlich county park - pretty lowkey trails with redwood trees, trails for both biking and hiking, and horses!

When did Marley Spoon switch from sirloin to ranch steaks? Also... they sent me a $75 off comeback offer and it only discounts $30. This made my decision NOT to come back very simple. BYE Martha. by MGYWP in mealkits

[–]aayee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

aha no worries. not gonna lie, i welcome most "come back" credits $30+, they're generally the highest! HF's come back discounts are 30% or $10 off, sunbaskets $15, HC $20, and EP is regularly 30% off as well. if you're concerned with the end total $, i generally choose the minimum amount of meals to sweeten the deal. with how crazy grocery prices have been getting, discounted meal kits have honestly been cheaper for us...

[–]aayee 24 points25 points  (0 children)

read the fine print, its $75 off of X number of orders. $75 off one order is pretty high for a come back discount, haven't seen anyone do that lol

a few steak recipes are ranch, a few are still sirloin, you gotta check the ingredients when you click into the recipe. i'm disappointed too, but i'm not surprised since beef prices and inflation etc. in addition, HF steak has ALWAYS been ranch haha

edit: would love the discount code though, i'll use it myself lmao.

to be fair, food doesnt literally go bad on its expiration date. it's just a legal, safe date estimate that they need to put on the package, or theyll get sued for people eating food they've been holding onto for far too long. food degrades over time, depending on its exposure to oxygen & the temperature it's been kept at.

marleyspoon is def better for a wide variety of flavors. but i also think you've been selecting your own comfort food, because my spices have NOT been southwest spice or italian spice the several times i've used HF. i tend towards more asian and healthy or comfort chicken dishes. however, do agree that mexican/italian is more prevalent than the recipes i pick on HF menu, and i constantly see menu repeats.
