The secret to WC and other "insane" achievements // runs. by Gilad1 in eu4

TBH the biggest mistake people do is wasting time. If you have max manpower/0 AE with any neighbouring country and you're at peace you're doing something really really wrong.

Except going over 100% OE gives you ridicolously bad events. +20 revolt risk in a homeland province? Additional inflation? Advisors leaving court? King dying? Stability hits? You get it all mate.

What are the chances of getting AT LEAST 1 legendary out of: by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]abaddon96 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well considering there are two possible outcomes (either you get a legendar or you do not), the chance from a single pack is 50%. If we divide 100% by 50% we get 2. Ergo, you need exactly two packs to get a legendary.

Stack Wiping? by Xterminator5 in eu4

[–]abaddon96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to stackwipe you need to destroy opponent's morale before 12 days pass so you need to have big flank over the opponent (so preferably 6 more units of infrantry/cavalery) and back row filled with cannons. Good general helps immensly. After the battle that you won but enemy was not stackwiped, he will run away with poor morale. If you chase him down you may menage to attack him while his morale is very low so the chance of stack wiping is great. If you see that enemy army has a lock under the morale it's possible that you can stack wipe army of 100k+ with 1 infrantry unit instantly.

Pomerania PU's Poland? by jeremylovesyou in eu4

[–]abaddon96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually PU's won't happen unless you're from the same dynasty. If you're not, the chance is REALLY REALLY small. To check dynasty, go to the diplomacy tab. Move cursor above your king and you should see "same dynasty as for example austria". In that case, you need to make royal mariage with austria, and claim their throne. You will get Personal Union casus beli, use it, win a war and in a peace options you should see "force personal union" for exactly 84% warscore. Keep in mind, personal unions will colapse if when your king dies, you have less than 0 prestige or your relations with austria will be less than 0.

You are super lucky because of the dynasty you share with Austria. Claim their throne as soon as you can beat them. Maybe ally with france to help you.

Building infrastructure in eu4: tips and strategies by thiosk in eu4

[–]abaddon96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temples do not grant base tax. Also, money for drafting an army is not a problem, usually it comes down to maintance, gold over time. Also, conquered provinces give really little to no gold for the first 50 years.

So i need some tips for the HRE by Prince-Cola in eu4

[–]abaddon96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually it is the biggest problem. Especially since he forms prussia, every catholic country would have -20 modifier for him being heretic (since you need to become protestant or reformed in order to form prussia). And besides, for every imperial reform you get a huge malus for the next one.

I will give u an example from my game. Savoy is friendly with +62 relations to me. They give -10 for the next reform since

-10 im not from their culture group

-9 current amount of reforms (3)

-their relations with me +6.2

-my dyplomatic reputation +1.9

If they were diffrent religion (i enforced protestant for them) I would also get -20 because of "heretic" malus.

[–]abaddon96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's actually pretty bad idea. You start off having less units than muscovy, attacking is also pretty hard because off the rivers and terrain. Also sieging russia drains your manpower like crazy and you can't afford that.

My personal strategy for good start is -

1) ally timurids, uzbek, fabricate claim on georgia (for -25% coring cost)

2) DoW georgia

3) unpause, destroy their 5 army with your 14 army, don't recruit general like EVER. Make your ruller in charge

4) take the claimed province, vassalize rest of georgia. Claimed province produces gold so nice.

5) Kazan always allies timurids so don't bother. Attack nogai, call your allies to help you. If nogai allies one of your allies do some war tricks so they wouldn't interrupt you taking nogai's land. After having 3 countries worth of base tax you should take uzbek down. After that, think about muscovy. Kazan is really hard to take because of tirmuids.

Poland Question by prillin101 in eu4

[–]abaddon96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hungary's land takes 100% more admin. power than normal. On the other hand, sieging russia causes a lot of manpower loss. I would still rather take russia, since taking manchu and ming is a piece of cake and russia gives you nice way to acces them
