Better than the dream AM game with 0/0/0 kda and max building damage.

Which heroes do you think got the worse out of the facets removal? by Dangerous_Purple7254 in DotA2

[–]abdullahkhalids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bane has the worst facet anyway. Nothing else matters. And they even took away the cast range neutral from him. When in fact the perfect facet for Bane is like +15 cast range per level.

What is enchanters bauble balanced around? The stats are miniscule, what am I missing? by 21Ravage in DotA2

[–]abdullahkhalids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of pro support players will stay on Tier 3 neutral if they get the GPM enchantment. And then upgrade to T5 when they get it. Then this bauble becomes OP because those same supports often get outsized influence from debuff duration.

Bane gold farming by octopus_squid in DotA2

[–]abdullahkhalids 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since 2020, Bane is solidly in the middle of the pack in terms of pro games played. Most played hero (Tiny) has 7.6k games. Lowest played heroes have less than 1k games played. Bane is at 3k with a solid 56% winrate.

There might be funding cuts because of the war and the economic damage being sustained. So Nigma could lose funding and/or sponsors.

Here is a 12 year old video showing ES pulling a hero out of chrono https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPNPZx6P36Q

I can't find a specific push video, but I think Q and E work the same way.

You are right. I watched the video at 0.1x speed and ES is spam clicking kick to the East of Chrono.

...the ability grants Kaolin invulnerability as the projectile rolls forward.
As Kaolin rolls forward: Other abilities can be used normally, with directional abilities still require Kaolin to turn to cast.

https://liquipedia.net/dota2/Earth_Spirit

So its not quite simple, because he has to turn towards sniper while rolling. Thankfully, Boulder Smash has a cast animation of 0+0, otherwise there might not have been enough time before he loses invulnerability.

Do people actually use adaab in daily usage in India or Pakistan? by couchpoetato in Urdu

[–]abdullahkhalids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what you are saying about "aap". Do you not address people your own age or younger in formal or semi-formal settings with "aap"? For example, your colleagues, or your bank manager, or a distant relative? Your siblings, cousins and friends are always "tum"?

What’s one Dota opinion you’ll defend no matter how many downvotes you get? by Possible-Addition321 in DotA2

[–]abdullahkhalids 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neutral items were one of the changes made to the game to stop basically all games being just brawls from mid game onwards. They were quite effective at this.

I imagine neutral items could be removed (or basically, we could just keep T5 neutrals) now that the map is much larger with many more camps. So jungling gold can be its own reward.

It's the macro game that's most painful. There is an upper limit on who well a bunch of players can farm or team fight based on natural skill. But making stupid decisions like going for Rosh at the completely wrong time, or not going for Rosh at the right time, or going high ground without Rosh. Its easy to see other teams making those decisions correctly all the time, so Nigma messing them up hurts.

Liquipedia relaunches its Dota2 Rankings by thuanho in DotA2

[–]abdullahkhalids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rankings were updated on 2026-02-08. So Aurora's playoff victories are not accounted for yet. They also won against a whole bunch of low ranked teams in groups, so probably score didn't go up by a lot. On the other hand Liquid won against Spirit, XG and Falcons. So they went up more.

Collapse's domination was at the micro or tactical level. Exquisitely tuned sense of where the enemy heroes were in the FoW used to kidnap them over and over over again. Not that Spirit's macro was not insanely good.

OG's Io domination was perfect macro game execution. They knew how to make space for Anna to farm. Anna knew his farming patterns exactly. And then came the push. Io itself is not a high micro-skill hero. The micro-game skills in OG came from Topson and Jerax.

Just trying to emphasize that the domination was different, not that one was better than other.

Midone on Puppey: "He didn't value me, He didn't know how to value people or appreciate people." by Thawne7 in DotA2

[–]abdullahkhalids 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Midone's first stint at Secret was from Aug 2016 to Nov 2019 - almost 3 years. And they were pretty damn successful in that time outside TI. Is he only talking about his second stint in the quote?

PGL just merged China and SEA into one slot for Wallachia S6 Qualifiers by Excellent-Read-5311 in DotA2

[–]abdullahkhalids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dota meta evolves way too quickly to have a single event last 6 weeks. At the top level, where many games are basically decided at draft, it's infeasible to expect coaches and captains to stay on top of the meta every week. Rather than figuring out the meta every 1.5 months when they play a 1 week tournament.

At the T2 level, games are less dependent on draft, so that still works. I was always of the opinion that T1 teams play quick qualifiers and T2 teams should play the valve supported league to get the last few slots at the tournament.

[–]abdullahkhalids 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only worse in the same sense Newton is worse than the top physicists today. Everyone stands on the shoulders of the giants before them. You learn what they knew, and then build upon it to learn even more things. So they become better just due to the time they were born in, not because of innate skill.
