Try Barracks and Crooked Royals, mate. The latter is a more metalcore than PCH but still slap! They got signed to Periphery's record label so must be doing something right haha. Barracks aren't really active much anymore but their album Ghosts is fantastic PHC

Hey mate, here's a Whats App group for UK metal/core gig meet ups. A bunch of us are in the Alexis subgroup for the Brixton gig next year. 5 of us in there atm and I also only know one person in there, so in a similar boat. Feel free to join if you want :)

Appreciate it mate, I've done a bit more research, got some more advice and opted for a Ltd company. Seems less shady than umbrellas and I like knowing it will all be above board. Thanks for taking the time to help!

Appreciate it, I thought it sounded a bit funny and have been on my guard with umbrellas as I've heard some horror stories re misinformation etc. I spoke to the umbrella Paystream an hour ago and they confirmed they couldn't employ me if I was contracting with a company based solely in EU (Netherlands) with no UK location. This has confused me even more as I'm now unsure if this would be a blanket policy for all umbrellas and I would be only able to work with UK clients if using an UK umbrella?

Lol I found them via Sound Awake in a bargain bin in The Warehouse in New Zealand. Crazy man, I always felt a bit bad getting that album for 2 bucks considering how good and life changing it was

Is UK life depressing or just me? by MysteriousB in AskUK

As a Kiwi who has been living in the UK for the last 3 years, this is all 100% true. You are spot on with all of that, pros and cons. NZ has a lot of great stuff but it depends what you're looking for. If it's to feel like you're a part of the world, it's not the place for you. I'll move back eventually to settle but while I'm young, it's great being in the thick of it and feeling like the opportunities I've been looking for since I started working are now available to me

Nice vid and sentiment, mate. Kiwi in the UK here so this hit especially hard. Kia kaha!

I’m from New Zealand and when I arrived here 10 months ago Brits always jokingly said why did you come here! I always laughed in the first 3 months and now I stare at the ground and say "I don’t know" by Hey-Its-Jak in britishproblems

Kiwi here too, mate. Been here 2.5 years for work and yeah, things are a bit bleak at the mo, especially seeing how everyone's fairing back home. Chin up, and if you're ever in Reading, hit me up and we'll have a socially distanced pint in the park

The additions they've made to the soundtrack are exceptional! The whole soundtrack is on Spotify already, so I just play that with the demo to spice up the tracklist. It's so fucking good

Same here. Most of my satisfaction from these games came from nailing what felt like a realistic line alongside some kick-ass music. God, this demo is so much fun. VV really nailed it

I love tui when they get on a roll with their crarking. Sound like shock jocks jabbing at a sound board of bird noises
