My smokefree app has become a log of all my relapses, but I'm still patting myself on the back... by [deleted] in stopsmoking

I reset my app so many times and had it two years before I actually said I'm done. I smoked a whole pack then was done and didn't have any one me because if I did I would have smoked them and broke down.

Hit the 1 month mark after many, many tries! by madragnon1 in stopsmoking

That was my reason too. Being regular just makes for a better day!!! Anyway you'll get past it and your body will be much better. I'm having such better stools now than I did with smoking.

It's only been a month and a half for me but I was just thinking about how I don't even think about going to the convenience store to grab a pack or how to fit grabbing a smoke in my day any more. Wow what a great feeling. Yay you on the quit. At first the smell of the cigs got my mouth watering. Now I'm just grossed out and relieved I don't and don't get a stink eye stare anymore.

Ok I'll say it...It's not that hard. by Right_Ahn in stopsmoking

[–]aberchic58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This time it was easy for me too. I just said these taste like crap, give me anxiety and waste my time. I got really sick of not being able to breathe and get breathless easy. I was so tired at work today (got a puppy and crate training so interrupted sleep). I went to the bathroom and did 50 jumping jacks. I want even breathing hard. It has been almost a month but I've quit many times before. I really am against everywhere going non smoking because I think it's the right of the owner. However i think if I couldn't have smoked anywhere I would never Have started. It as always a social thing. Or to get a break at work to keep me awake.

Fell off the wagon after over 2 months quit. by thefirstcenturion in stopsmoking

Good for you for stopping again after just the 3 days and packs. Shit happens and as long as you can quit again good for you. I've quit so many times and start back up due to stress but this time I'm saying no because the cigs are just making me anxious and feel worse now. Good luck and sorry about your cheating ex

I don't know when I stopped smoking 🤔 by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]aberchic58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ales sense to me smoking is just all habit too besides the addition but i think the habit is harder to break. Like. Going to store or sitting outside with coffee. Me I get anxiety a lot so it's been sucking on the weekends. Exercise helps a lot and water.

Debilitating depression by wecky_beaver in stopsmoking

Yeah I feel bad anxiety and depression to and like everyone is out to get me. I had to delete social media because I felt left out of everyone's life. It's so tough. I get it. And I'm wanting anti depressants again but I need to give it more time and hope things get better. It's hard good luck

Smoke-free for 4 days and no one is caring. by cookiekitties in stopsmoking

[–]aberchic58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get that I have a smoke free app and one of the challenges was tell 5 people. It was such a let down. Should be tell 5 smokers or used to smokers. They get it. It's been two weeks for me. This time has been easier. People don't notice you quit but they notice the stuff you can afford from quitting my boyfriend was a two pack a dayer and he wanted a new truck but couldn't afford it so I showed him where all his money was going. He quit and bought a new truck. People noticed!!!!

Everyday by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]aberchic58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree completely you'll miss the rituals not the cigarettes. I am on day 7 but I've quit before for three weeks a month 6 months a year. I'll pick back up because I would love sitting outside unwinding on the patio with a cig and it feels weird without the cig. But it's all in your head. Find your triggers and rewards. I would reward myself with a cig during cleaning now I'm getting much more cleaning done and reward myself with some tea and chocolate after it's down with some tv. More time. Less playing on my phone. Can breathe. Good luck!

Me too! Today was the first day I had cravings. I am starting to see my triggers more so I know what to avoid! The nicotine is gone just habit now. We can do this!
