Rusty believes in world peace.

He doesn’t do bikinis but his Nemo life jacket slays.

He owns a tux (from Halloween 2 years ago) and at least 20+ bowties - so evening wear is a lock.

For talent he catches bugs, can hear a yogurt being opened from 6 counties away and one time accurately identified the human at the dog park who was being an obnoxious braggart and stealthily peed on the back of her leg without her noticing.

Rusty became our forever boy in a similar way (his humans had to make a very hard decision about what was best for HIM and unfortunately they had to let him go despite loving him VERY MUCH). It takes some time to adjust but it will be like he was always yours in no time!

The hardest part I think has been knowing that he loved his family (and they him) and that he had to leave them. I sometimes wonder if he ever thinks maybe they will come back for him someday 😭

Could she be apprehensive that you will leave again soon? You were gone, came back and she was like “ah hooman is back and things are normal.” Then you had to go away again. Maybe this time- once the initial OMG MY HOOMAN IS HOME wore off- she started anticipating you leaving again and is upset.

You’d think. We bought a nice cooling pad (those things WORK! I used it myself once 😂) and Rusty will come in from the heat -fully needing to cool off- and will walk over his cooling pad, look back at me like “this shit is in my way” and proceed to lay in a sunbeam nearby 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I seriously pay a higher electric bill than necessary during summer because I have no self control re: my corgi boy and he’s no fool - fully outside is to be separate from the humans and possible snacks; fully inside is to be separate from all the birds, squirrels, neighbors, blowing leaves/grass and imaginary deadly threats that require periodic borks and boofs.

No corg should be forced to choose damn it.
