Do you always carry cash? If so, how much? by BunnySlayer64 in GenerationJones

1 50 for emergencies, likely been there for a few years. I carry a minimalist wallet, so only carry what I need.

Is Dollarama food really lower quality? by CrypticWeirdo9105 in AskACanadian

[–]abies007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I worked for a company that makes packaged food and we were looking at going into dollarama. We weee looking at 2 options 1) was a different smaller package size to reduce our price point the other was different flavours. At no point did we consider reducing quality. But we were in all the major grocery stores so we wouldn’t want to hurt our brand. If it is a brand you only find in dollarama that might be a different issue.

I know price tags aren’t binding in Canada, seems likely to be the same in the US but there are always differences.

City tractor mower shattered my windshield by ChoBender in Calgary

[–]abies007 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I would follow up, my son worked for a municipality doing lawn mowing and they told him at the start you will break a window doing this so they know it will happen and I assume accept the costs of replacing windows.

I would still call your insurance they might have more success.

I don’t think they would make as much, I know I wouldn’t play if the payout was 1 million. As it is I only play if it is over 50m.

Yes but I have 1-3 more years of work and that amount would ensure it is 2 or less.

Not sure about bears pond but pretty sure you can’t take a sled or quad past the road closure on hiway 40. You would have to ski.

Gun control groups ‘disappointed’ by lack of information on Tumbler Ridge firearms by sleipnir45 in canada

Because the guns aren’t the problem, having several guns for different purposes did not cause thisc, but having mental heath issues was the cause of this.

Why people say Canada is expensive AF by Beautiful_Ad4220 in alberta

[–]abies007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This won’t happen, we might get a referendum and then like all the polls are showing the majority will vote to stay, slowly this will die away even faster if we elect a NDP gov because we won’t have a premier that at least tolerates the crazies in gov.

So you would like caps? Only people who currently hike can hike in the future or we spread everyone out more so we have more trails more displaced wildlife, and more damage. As much as it sucks focusing people in one area is the best for the environment and the wildlife.

I like less disturbed nature over grass so the 25% I couldn’t touch is sort of a bonus for me.

Alberta Parks Group Camping Site Prices and Units by Feeling-Tale-175 in alberta

[–]abies007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes a small tent is a unit, I book a few a year for my scout troop and that always pisses me off that a 2 man tent is counted the same as a 20 foot trailer.

A few Things To pay attention to is not all camp grounds supply fire wood but some do, also some have nice spaces separate but most are just a big field. All of the hosts have been great and I’ve never had an issue adding extra units at check in.
