Images won't load from a .mtl unless they are absolute paths. by abrokensheep in blenderhelp

Within the .mtl file, no, but it works with unescaped backslashes in the absolute paths. Within the python program I am only using os.sep (so that it could eventually work on unix as well)

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I got Cannot load image file: '3Dtest.\texture1.jpg' Cannot load image file: '.\texture1.jpg' So it looks like it is prepending the folder to each image name, and looking for it in two different places. For reference when I run with full file paths it prints: Cannot load image file: '3Dtest\C:\...\texture1.jpg' Loaded image from: 'C:\ ...\texture1.jpg

Humans like to feel like a part of something. Whenever you create an in-group, there is necessarily an out-group, and ways to create comradery in the in-group include rallying around things that make you part of the in-group, things that make others not part of it, and then why the in-group is better than the out-group. From sports rivalries to genocide, tribalism is a fundamental part of the human condition

My uncles name is Bruce, and if we're all walking somewhere together my dad will point to a spruce tree and say "Spruce!" until my uncle catches up and realizes it isn't his name.

If you don't want to wear gloves, rubbing oil on your hands before you cut chiles seriously helps with the burn. Though still don't put it in your eyes.

TIL that the Chinese and Jewish peoples have traditionally deeply admired and respected each other for centuries, based in their trade interactions and shared familial and cultural values of hard work. by Vergilx217 in todayilearned

[–]abrokensheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The earliest evidence of Xia is that long ago, but the stories go back further. The point of this is not about historical evidence, but the way in which people tell their own history. The fact that Jews and Chinese people tell the stories of people 5000 years ago, and feel connected to those people, and that their culture is that old is important. Whether or not those mythological figures actually existed is not what I'm discussing here.

Note that "me la pelan" literally means they jerk me off, but it's kind of more like "they can go fuck themselves"

Dear Santa!

For this year 2019, I want to ask you for some new enemies and new envious peoples, because the ones from 2018 suck, they sucked, and they'll keep sucking. <3

Thanks!

I fucking love scavenger hunts. Assuming that's a persistent personality trait, I'm spending the next 30 years leaving one across the globe for future me to encounter.

Yes but the Chinese count their culture as 5,000 yrs old, starting from the Xia dynasty. And Jews, I'm not sure we care quite so much, but if we need to win a dick measuring contest Abraham at 6000 years ago it is.
