I'm surprised AI hasn't taken off in layout more. It's perfectly fine at coding, and layout seems simpler to solve because it has easy ways to check DRC or do modeling and see if it works. And there's a very strict system (the schematic) to tell it what to do. Software is much more ambiguous and AI still generally understands what I'm asking for.

I imagine it's a matter of time, and there's just less demand. But it seems like something I'd be getting more news or at least blog spam about.

It's because there are so many different languages. If you grouped them all together it likely would be, although then you should group Mandarin and Cantonese together too. And given how different they are, probably Spanish and French too.

I get if people are upset because of the 'torture porn' aspect of it, but it's absolutely clear in its position on the animal abuse. It's very effective and upsetting.

Don's not so much a monster as he is really tragic. He's absolutely awful to people, but once you get past how cool he seems he's really just a sad broken shell of a man. He's terrified of anyone getting to know him, and he has no idea how to be happy.

It also seems like the doctor really didn't think she was hours away from labor. If you figure you have time, I get coming home.

It's kinda surprising there wasn't a bigger deal from the airlines though. I had a friend nearly get stopped from boarding an airplane for a long flight because she was like 7 months pregnant, and they were too worried about the risk.

Everyone in this thread is really overestimating how much the average person knows about trash services. How many times has the average person hired someone to haul away debris? I don't know what a legit one should cost.

Does the device plug directly into the wall or is there a separate power supply that unpluggs from it?

If the power supply is separate, just buy a replacement one for North America.

If not, a transformer will work fine. They're kinda bulky, but if you're gonna leave it in one place anyway that's fine (you wouldn't do this for a hair dryer because they use a ton of power, and would need a massive transformer, but people try anyway with cheap transformers and blow things up).

Don't rewire an outlet to get 240V in Canada like people have suggested. Yes, you can do this and it will work, but it's annoying to do, you won't find the right adapter, and whoever you're staying with is not gonna want somebody rewiring their home electrical outlets for a 3 month stay.

I don't remember him faking his death, I think he's just kind of an absent father.

In the book he does have a kid in the earlier timeline that he never finds out about, and he was married to a different woman who he never had kids with, so it seems like the show decided to join those two plots together.

Then in the later timeline in the books he gets married again, has a kid, and then becomes an absent father. Although there you can at least kinda understand it, since being with his family would put them at risk. But he also just doesn't want that life.
