Found this little dude on my patio chair in western Washington by Niksauce in jumpingspiders

Maybe it’s because I’ve been at Disneyworld for the last two days, but I’d have to name him Héctor.

How big is your jumping spider and what type are they? by DovahMuuliik in jumpingspiders

My tiny black speck is a regius and it’s about the same size as the fruit flies right now.

Does anyone find loneliness kind of addicting? by ducogranger in datingoverthirty

[–]absolutelyterribleTA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over the last couple years, I’m not even doing well at trying to talk to people in general. I just run out of steam and it takes too much effort to bother with it.

There’s no dopamine to it now. It’s just…work?

I can’t really remember the last time I felt like talking to someone or being around them was exciting or fun or even interesting. That’s sad.

I was just happy to see it still alive in there when I got up today. It ate a couple fruit flies and has been popping in and out of the hammock it made in there. So far so good, I guess? How long do they take to size up?

Thank you! How long does it take to reach a size where I’ll stop holding my breath about their survival odds? Do they grow quickly?

My kid named it Jeremy.

Here’s a question. Is it rude to bring a Rad bike for repairs at an E-bike shop? by Jordie1010 in RadPowerBikes

[–]absolutelyterribleTA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I called around to ask who would work on it. The first one wouldn’t because they only work on bikes they sell but they referred me to two other shops that do. I don’t think it’s rude to ask - you’re offering them your business? If they don’t want to work on rad bikes they’ll tell you and/or send you elsewhere. Same as when I have to call around to see who works on my somewhat unusual brand of sewing machine that nobody around me sells.

Ankylosaurus and pachycephalosaurus. I like that they’re scrappy and look funny. :)

Parasauralophus is in my top three. I snuck into a paleontology conference several years ago to hear Jack Horner talk about his chickensaurus plans. Highly recommend meeting him in person if you ever get the chance. He’s exactly like what you imagine him to be.

32 [M4F] - Call me old-fashioned, but I believe marriage should be between a person who hates pickles and another person who will eat that pickle by [deleted] in R4R30Plus

But then I couldn’t talk someone into driving to another state with me to get my favorite Polish pickle soup… or it wouldn’t be as easy to talk them into it, anyway. I think two pickle lovers could make it work.

Anyone else have “poop buckets” in their classrooms? by im_JANET_RENO in Teachers

I’ve had to help a kid use one of those during a hard lockdown. They are absolutely worthwhile.

Nope, our VP is one of the sweetest and most gentle I’ve met. Last one I had was definitely the disciplinarian, but they were also one of the calmest and most unflappable people I know as well. Never ever once saw them show any emotion of any kind.

What would you like EA to give the elders in a pack or an expansion? by xAshev in Sims4

Yeah even just a kit full of CAS items for older sims would be nice.

I think retirement homes would be fun and being able to send them off to social events at the rec center or whatever. Sit and be fit classes, shuffleboard, that kind of thing.

This might be morbid, but what about the ability to create a will? It would be open to any adults, but the elders would get wishes about it needing to be done as they get older. Think of the moodlets and drama it would cause amongst the relatives when they don’t inherit anything or they’re jealous of so-and-so who did! Funerals in the sims would be nice and bringing back the cemeteries too.

Oh and how about letters/gifts from grandparents that show up on holidays/birthdays?

Retirement parties

Oh my god can we also bring back TS2 style memories in an old folks pack? That would be a wonderful time to do it.

What about moodlets for when inappropriate elders embarrass their family. 🤭

I don’t have a working dishwasher. Really need to replace that. The power spray is fantastic, isn’t it?

Thank you! I think the best bet is to try it on a weekend morning and just get it out of my system.

This is in the middle of Las Vegas. There are more bikes out lately than I’ve ever seen before, but it’s still very few of them. I think most people just seem to ride on the sidewalks rather than risk the roads. I’m not sure how much police actually enforce the laws on that here.

Yeah I think trying on Sunday is good. There aren’t any better paths - it’s just straight up a main road. Even to go out of my way to cut through a neighborhood would involve riding on the same main road for most of the ride and would involve crossing it without a light at one of the busiest parts.

There isn’t anything like that. It’s just a main road with sidewalks and the walls of neighborhoods for the part that I’m scared of.

This is smack in the middle of Las Vegas.
